Happy New Year! Is the contest title of course we are in the new year and it's great to have a new year contest as such. Here I will be discussing the questions below.

What are your favorite New Year traditions or customs?

Before every new year, I have always seen my parents and those ahead of me do is that they clean and wash everything. It is a period where they do massive sanitation at home. As I kid, I grew up with the mentality that major cleanup is what should be done to usher us to the new year.

So if you ask me what my favorite new tradition or custom is I won't hesitate to always say it's the sanitation that we do always during this period. It's the only period where we bring out everything from the house and then ensure we clean everywhere and everything.

This act has been there ever since I was a baby and since I grew up, I continued with it as well. My siblings are learning and I guess they too will do the same when their time comes.

Do you have any special resolutions or goals for the upcoming year?

Yes of course I have a special goal or resolution for the new year and the resolution is that I won't wait for the end of the year always before doing the general sanitation I do at home. I plan to always do the same sanitation after every 3 months.

This is a personal arrangement I wish to start doing because the workload during the new year is becoming unbearable. I'm sure that if I do this more often, I won't have to agree much during the new year period.

How do you celebrate New Year's Eve? Any unique or memorable experiences to share?

New Year's Eve is always one of the best moments I usually have and the reason is that during that time we always go to the church waiting to witness the new year.

It's always time to dance and celebrate with loved ones because it is a period we stay awake until we see that the time reaches the next day when the calendar changes.

Every New Year's Eve, I go to church for this celebration. We sang, danced, and also met a lot of friends even those who didn't come to church for the whole year will come during that period because it's a cross-over to the next year. So that is how I celebrate the new year eve.

How do you feel about the concept of "New Year, New Me"? Is it something you embrace or find overrated?

Well the concept of a new year new me is one I believe is most used by many people all over the world including me. I say this because, during New Year's Eve, we pray and ask God for mercy and pray for the grace to be better people in the coming year.

I don't know about other people but myself do this always. I know just saying I want to make changes want to be easy or possible but with prayers, most of the desire to change comes to fulfillment.

So the concept of a new year new me is a concept that I agree with strongly because I too make that resolution every new year and that has helped a lot because many changes for the better happen.

What do you wish for yourself and others in the coming year?

In this new year all I wish for others and myself is the very best which the year can offer. I say so because previous years have been quite difficult even though we pulled through it. Moreover, I wish everyone and myself a very long life and prosperity.

I declare that this new year will not see our end but we shall all see the end of this very year to the glory of God. I pray for my Steemian friends and also for more growth in the platform even as I also grow with them.

I want to invite @josepha, @lhorgic, and @vickyson, to join the contest also.
