INTRODUCTION

hello friends how are you all doing I hope all are moving fine and good am here to discuss on the topic acids and also I promise that after this topic that you all will have a lot to learn and also this will impact more knowledge to you all

MEANING OF ACIDS

acids is being defined in many ways but through my own understanding I see this as a compound which ionzes in a aqueous solution such as water to produce hydro Ions H+which is protons or hydroeonium as the only positive ions together with negative ions we have two classes of acid it includes

• ORGANIC ACIDS .organic acids are acids of natural products in plants or animals e.g ethanoic acids citric acid from u ripe friuts such as lime and lemon
• INORGANIC ACIDS. inorganic acids are acids prepared from mineral elements or inorganic matter e.g are
  tetraoxo sulphate
  trioxosulphate and also troxocarbonate and many more

BASICITY OF AN ACIDS

the basicity of an acids is the number of hydrogen h+(aq) produced by one molecules of an acids. it is also the number of replaceble hydrogen ions h+ in one molecule

PREPARATION OF AN ACIDS

• an acid is prepared by dissolving non metallic oxides in water
• an acids is prepared by using strong acids to displace more votatile acids or weaks acids from into metallic salt
• an acids is also prepared by direct combination of constituent elements in the presence of activated charcoal
• an acids also prepared by precipitating an insoluble sulphide from a metallic salt by hydrogen sulphide
• an acids is a well prepared by double decomposition .

physical properties of an acids

• acids have sour taste
• acids are corrosive especially constrong acids such as hydrochloric acids
• CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF ACIDS
• acuds display hydrogen when reacts with metals higher than hydrogen in the electro chemical series .
• acids reacts with bases or alkalis to form salt and water only by neutralization
• acids liberates carbon oxide from trioxocarbonate (iv) salt

uses of an acids

• fatty acids are used in manufacturing of soap on bioling with caustic soda or canstic patash
• tartaric acids is used in making barking powder .
• tetraoxsulphates acids or useful chemical is used in many industries to make other consumer chemicals such as fertilizer and detergent
