Hello everyone, good morning to you all. Welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be writing about the recent happenings in my neighborhood and I will be reporting from Onitsha metropolis.

Busy day

It's a new week for most of us at Onitsha. The compulsory Monday sit-at-home in the Eastern states in Nigeria has rendered our Monday useless. So our week basically starts on Tuesday. This Tuesday is usually very busy, with workers going to their various work place, traders going to their various business place and schools children going to their various schools.

Lentern season

During stations of the Cross

Currently we are on Lentern season which started with the ash Wednesday which was on the 14th of February. It is 40 days period which leads to Easter. This period in my church catholic church is a period of fasting, reflection on the passions of Jesus, almsgiving and penance. We also go for stations of the Cross very Friday. We observe the stations of the Cross in order to reflect on the suffering and sacrifices of our Lord Jesus on the Cross of Calvary for our sake.

Noise pollution

Onitsha is a very noisy city. The Dwellers major occupation is trading and this contributes to make the City noisy. The most painful part is that the Dwellers seems to enjoy the noise and they don't seems to know that there is something called noise pollution and it's health challenges. Generator is one of the things that contributes to this noise.

Onitsha Dwellers will rather spend heavily on petrol for their Generator rather than install Inverters or Solar energy. Our neighbor is not helping matters at all, he usually leaves his generator on throughout the night the worst part of the whole issue is that whenever he switches on his generator, smokes usually covers our whole flat. It's quite annoying.

These are the recent happenings in my neighborhood. Thanks for reading through my post, I invite @chilaw, @ukpono and @saintprisca to participate in this contest.

It seems like your Tuesday was a very busy. Concerning the noise pollution, i would advice you to buy an ear plug to enable you listen to lesser noise in the area as it is always noisy around there. Best wishes in the contest

It seems like Onitsha is bustling with activity despite the Monday sit-at-home order. The Lenten season brings a solemn atmosphere as the community reflects on Jesus' sacrifice. However, noise pollution remains a challenge, especially with generators. Let's hope for solutions to mitigate this issue.
