Trust; An expensive commodity

I would like to discuss a very sensitive subject although very common with us human. The word Trust is an expensive commodity

Every one has something to say with regards to this word but from my perspective, the word trust is an unwavering believe in a person that he or she has will not fail you or he or she is always on the side of the truth.

For people to co exist in families, state or country there must be some form of trust. Likewise in friendship, relationship or marriage trust is an important ingredient needed for survival.

Do you know when trust is gone from a friendship,that is when insecurities set in, and when that happens, it breads room for things like jealous,anger, lies, unforgiveness and even bitterness.

I always look out for people that I can trust. One character I have is my ability to trust people. I easily believe what people tells me until 2021 when everything changed. It took me 1 year to regain by character of trust.

Just when I thought I could trust again, I thought I could even give my life for those I claim to trust, and it turned out that they never even cared in the first place. Sometimes we think we just got to our last bus stop only for you to see a sign post saying no you have more grounds to cover.

In my judgement, I feel when two or more friends don't trust themselves anymore, it is safe for them to go their separate ways. Do you know how it feels to be accused several times by those who don't trust you? I personally have been accused by some who don't me so I understand how it feels.

Once a friend shared with me how she was accused of stealing a phone, she was even beaten so that she can produce the phone back. She told me that experience never left her because it was at her work place. Guess what? They finally found who took the phone but this friend of mine could not continue working there. She resigned! She said she could not bear the pain of been referred to as the lady who people thought stole a phone.

She said even her boss didn't believe her. She said she thought her boss trusted her only to find out he didn't.

What about an incident I recently witnessed about two roommates. A guy was dating both of them and they didn't know. Once they found out, they started fighting over the guy. Can you imagine? The guy left both of the them and went brought a fresh girl to live with him while the other two ladies don't close part with each other till tomorrow. When I asked one of them she said she trusted her friend and shared things about the guy with her only for her to steal him away.

Another story was told of two best friends. No body ever thought they could ever go their separate ways but guess what broke the friendship? Lack of trust.

One of the friends will always lie to her friend about many matters. Several times she has been caught and confronted, other times she wasn't confronted. A guy actually contributed to break their friendship. This guy made passes at one of the friends and she refused because of reasons best known to her. She shared the story with her best friend who happens to be her colleague at work. Meanwhile, it was this friend that helped her friend get the job at her work place.

To cut the story short, the guy had issues with the girl he asked out and wanted to hurt her so he decided to make her other friend his friend. This girl noticed it and told her friend not to allow what the guy was trying to do. She pleaded with her friend to team up with her and show the guy that he can't separate them but her friend refused saying she can't be an enemy to her friends enemy. As I speak to you that friendship is dead and buried. Time will fail me to gist you how it happened.

But guess what? This lady claims she has nothing with this guy yet she calls him with her phone, how did her friend find out? The guy will always boost about it by telling the other one, you don't call me but your friend does, she even called me on Saturday by 4pm. That's an example. Meanwhile this lady will not confront her friend because she doesn't want issues.

Sometimes this friend even calls to ask for recharge card, subscription and other forms of help and even visited all in secret. something the other lady has never done. What do I know?

Trust is difficult to build but so easy to be lost. When trust is lust, love is lost. I never want to be in that situation where I don't trust people, I prefer to leave when I notice such situation.

Trust is an expensive commodity, if you have it for your friends, husband or wife then hold it tight. If someone trust you, please value and appreciate it. Because it is hard to find.

A successful business is built on trust. A successful marriage is built on trust. A successful friendship is built on trust. The list goes on and on..

I want a life where I can be loved and trusted and I can love and trust you.
