I am very grateful to @xcool24 for bringing such a wonderful contest theme that helps us to know what is happening in other places and also gives us the chance to update the happening in our area. I live in the Masaka Karu local government area of Nasarawa state.

What is so disturbing in the Masaka area is that the weather conditions are not favorable in terms of the heat. The weather is so hot to the extent that even if you on the fan, it will be as if you are worsening the heat. The heat situation has no solution, the only solution is to adapt to the weather or you pack your back and go to another place.

The heat has just started as I was told by my mother, that from now till when the rain will start constantly. We experienced rainfall today early in the morning around four o'clock and from what she told me, is that the rain just introduced the heat.

Another alarming problem that is supposed to help reduce the heat is a problem on its own, the lack of constant light in the area coupled with the heavy bills people are paying for the light, yet the people are not getting what they paid for. Sometimes they will not bring light for 2-3 days, and when they manage to bring it, it will not stay for a very long time.

Because of this problem of light, phones are charging for #150 and viewing centers are collecting #200 per match. But they still bring bills of #7000-#8000 monthly. The light could have been the solution for the heat, for those who have fans and AC in their houses, but unfortunately, it has added to the problem that the people are suffering.

I am willing to stay and try to adapt to the heat for which I know it will not be easy. I pray that God will help me overcome it.
