The unidentified conflict between my cousin and me: letting go of grudges

I could feel it. It was like bad energy coming from him. First, when they got to the house, I said hello to his mom and then to him, but he didn't reply to me. He didn't even look at me.He spoke to my brother and sister as if he didn't have an issue with them, but he couldn't address me directly.

I was in the living room with my mom and my aunt, who came to visit with her son Jerry, watching TV while they talked. I wasn't even really focused on the wildlife show that was on, because I was wondering why Jerry ignored me. Jerry and I were never very close, but we were not enemies.

After a while in the parlor, I went to the bedroom where Jerry and my siblings were. My sister was sitting on my brother's bed using her phone, while my brother sat on the floor near the bed talking with Jerry, who was sitting on the study chair. As soon as I sat down to join the discussion, Jerry's mood changed. His smile and laughter quickly turned into a serious face.
"I need to go ask my mom about something before I forget," Jerry said, getting up and leaving the room for the parlor.

Although I couldn't pinpoint it, something didn't feel right. I did not know if others noticed, but I am a rather quiet and conscientious individual, so I felt I must have noticed the unease. To find out if he really left the room because I came in, I walked toward the parlor as though I was looking for something. It wasn't even two minutes since I had started faking a search of something when he got up and went back into my brother's room with my sister and brother inside.

I was sure of the tension and stayed in the sitting room. My sister got out of the room to the shop to purchase some snacks, and I went along with her.
As we walked down the street I decided to ask her if she noticed what I noticed, "Nora did you notice that Jerry seems to be keeping some kind of malice against me," I asked my sister.
You do? Then that’s fine. That figure is not so bad to maintain, is it?

I did not assume anything I was sure of what I was saying so I told her. Given that both Jerry and I were older than her, I assumed it would be more convenient for her to talk to him.

But the fact that I don’t know what that might be about, feelings aside, cannot be determined.
" Well, I will, "
We got the snacks and came back home.I made my way to the parlor while my sister went to the room where everyone else was. Then my mom asked why I wasn't with them. I told her because I wanted to watch the show and didn't want it to be missed.

They said goodbye to one another and left after a couple of hours. What is that supposed to mean, I asked my sister when I saw her. She said she did, and he told her that it was about the fight we had last year when we all met in the village during holidays with my other cousins. Then I remembered what the problem was all along. Last year during the holidays, we got into an argument over our phone chargers. We had the same chargers, and when he lost his, he tried to take mine. That always would initiate a big argument that resulted in shouting and fighting. Later, my uncle intervened and helped to resolve it, so I kept my charger, though he still felt it was his.
It was funny and unexpected for me since the whole situation did not matter to me anymore, while he couldn't forget it.

Later on, he left it and we became friends again. It was just a little conflict that we had; I was the kind of person who forges and forgets easily while on the other hand, he was the type who does not easily forget and FORGET.
