Hello, my fellow Steemit users!!

Salutations to the amazing members of the @steem4nigeria community. Today, I felt like drawing. We will be sketching a seal today, and @benton3, who consistently hosts this incredible contest, made this concept possible. I always have the chance to get better at sketching thanks to this contest. Let's get right into the sketch without further delay.

Fascinating aquatic mammals, seals are eminent for their lively disposition, sleek physique, and flippers. Seals can dive far to find food because they are skilled swimmers. Typically, they eat fish, squid, and other marine life.. They are excellent hunters in the water because they can hold their breath for extended periods of time. Born on land or ice, seals are cared for by their mothers until they are strong enough to hunt and swim on their own.

I started the illustration with the Seal's head. I sketched the mouth, nose, eyes, and ear on the head. In addition, I sketched a fish within the seal's jaws.

I sketched the seal's abdomen and front fins. I used some wavy lines to draw its front fins.

I then sketched the bottom body and back of the seal. I made this body a bit thicker all over for a more rounded and natural feel, and I added an extra bump near the tail for a curvier appearance.

I drew the back tail in two sections using some curved lines in this step.

After drawing the whole body I painted the body parts of the seal with light brown.

After finishing the brown color, I shaded some special parts including the lower part of the body with a pencil. I also darkened the nose and eyes with black paint and drew some thin lines on the lower part of the nose to make its hair.

I finally completed my seal artwork by using a pencil to shade the fish.
