Contest Result: If I were to be a curator

The contest with the title if I were to be a curator has ended and today I will be announcing the winners of the said contest. But before I proceed, I will lie to highlight a few things I observe as I read through the participation of every contestant.

The idea of the contest was to help all steemians understand the full meaning of curation. Most times people think that curation is only about voting on articles but through this contest, we have learnt that curation does not start from voting on articles, voting is the last thing to do when curating.

To curate content, you first have to search for content, ensure that the content adds value to its readers and also check and be sure that the said content is free from any form of abuse. If all these criteria are met, then you can now give your vote and that is what completes the curation activities.

We are all curators in one way or the other because we use our own So to also vote on other people's articles. The question is the article you vote on, do you follow the process of curation, does the article meet the standard, these are all that needed to be checked before voting on any article.

A total of 9 people participated and among which, 8 are valid and one of the entries is not valid. The list of those that participated includes @solexybaba, @chukwu10, @dave-hanny, @negro-bby, @yonaikerurso, @davchi, @ruthjoe and @preye2.

We had quite interesting entries in all but there must always be a winner and that is why the three listed below stood out among others. We have shared the reward among the three best listed below.

The contest was an amazing one and we all have learnt one or two things about curation. I wish all those who win more success and those who did their best and presented their entry to, try again you may be the next winner. Till we meet again in my next contest. Stay bless.
