My Neighborhood Watch #11 - Reporting Events Around us

Happy New Week

The sun decided to shine today after the rain fell heavily on Saturday and Sunday. Is going to be a new week we will surely love more this time around. I always love it when we enter a new week and we are now even in a new month. I have decided to participate in this contest this hot afternoon while I talk about rain and sport. I thank @xkool24 for organizing this contest.

Playing football under the rain

It really rained heavily in the morning on the 2nd day of September 2023 which was Saturday. As usual I went to church that Saturday for cleanup and rehearsals so mu elder brother couldn't come early because he was going to a computer center to print and photocopy our form to do an ID for the altar servers association. We did our cleanup fast and we couldn't do rehearsals.

The reason we weren't able to do rehearsals is because CWO were doing their general meeting and they always distract us each time we do rehearsals. Most times they will occupy 60% of the church building and they normally make noise. We decided to do our rehearsal when we come again in the evening.

We decided to play football since we closed early and our president wasn't yet back to share the form for us. We arrange the two goal posts in the compound and began playing after we also chose our teammates. Rain was about to fall so we never cared as we continued what we were doing.

I remember when some group of boys were playing football under the rain few Saturdays ago, I was wondering what was wrong with them but I discovered that they were very desperate to play. That day I them saw that I and my friends will play football under the rain. The president which is my brother, finally came and shared the form. We all took the form and kept it safely.

We began playing the football and everywhere was wet as the rain was falling heavily. My elder brother said he will play but as soon as rain started, he changed his mind because he doesn't want to dirty himself. He's very good in playing football under the rain but I wonder what was the reason he changed his mind because I feel he was lying.

The ball was interesting but we weren't able to shoot shots all the time because once it touches water on the ground, it will stop and the nearest player which take it and this piss us off alot.

My team played very well as we were scoring lots of goals until we won. My elder brother was the one taking pictures as he was watching the game. It was really an amazing experience. Thanks so much for reading my blog and so have a nice day.
