Hello to everyone in this wonderful community and on this great platform. I salute you all in good spirit and I want to believe that we all are doing just perfect this day, if so we give God the praise for the sustainability of life and sound body.
It is indeed a great day and I welcome you all to the weekend and I hope we all are resting after a rough week. Today, I am here to begin my series which I have titled THE ACCIDENT. It's indeed a true life story and I hope we all learn from it at the end of the series. I wish you all a happy reading as I begin.
It was indeed a beautiful morning, the sun was so warm on my dad's shoulders, with so much joy and excitement he dash down to the hospital where my mum was on the expected day of delivery. He looked closely in her eyes and promised her he is going to stand by her through out the process.
The vows they made at the altar alongside the love they have for each other kept them going. With a stunning smile my mum looked at my dad with so much confidence knowing that with him by her side she can do more than her strength could carry her and as the saying goes ''it takes two to tangle".
Waiting for the arrival of the doctor who was incharge of the delivery walked straight to the room my parents were and with the smile on his face, my mum understood that she was in safe hands, also with the presence of my dad balanced the whole equation that things will go smoothly and easy.
Before the process began, they all said a word of prayer to commit the whole process to the almighty. Shortly after it rained joy all over the place after my mum made the last push. Alas! It was a beautiful bouncing baby girl. Though my dad wanted a baby boy to be his first seed but we all know that man propose but God dispose.
Nevertheless, my dad accepted the baby girl. Loved her with everything he had even though they weren't much. As time goes on he gave birth to other children with I included. We are just four in number, two male and two female, A balanced equation.
The first seed of the house was named Janet. A sweet, loving and a hardworking lady. She motivates me to always do my best and accompany it with prayers. She is kind and patient, a lady with vision. She is talented and has a skill.
Shortly after she gained admission into the university my dad passed away. Before the demise of my dad, he already gave her phone number to a young man who happens to hail from the same ethnic group with us. His father was my grandfather's friend and so he met my dad that he liked his daughter and he would want her for a wife.
It was a wonderful idea judging from the peripheral level of things. You never know the intent of a man!. He seems all nice and caring and my dad didn't hesitate to give his daughter's phone number to him, and that was the beginning of the end.
Before my dad kicked the bucket, he already told my sister about this said young man and his intentions towards her. My dad didn't really know this young man too well. The young man only had his way by having the idea that my grandfather and his grandfather were friends during their lifetime on this planet earth
. As such, my dad only told my sister that the young man hail from a lovely and well respected family. In other words, he was persuading her to accept the man.
This young man, upon having the understanding that my sister was he school, he didn't call not text to start a thing with her and so he kept mute as though he didn't want anything with her until she is done with her school, "my thought though" and that was the first red flag I and the rest of my family noticed but my sister.
Few weeks after her graduation, this young man began to call my sister countless times. Trying to build something solid with her. My sister declined at first but we didn't know what happened, one day my sister called my mum and told her she has started a thing with this young man in question.
Having the affair in secret not wanting anyone to know about it was the mistake she made. She didn't ask for counsel not even from my mum. To her she is not a child to be told who to love and who not to love but little did she know that was far beyond what she was thinking.
She made my mum spoke with him even though mum didn't like the idea but for the love she has for her daughter and to make her happy, she accepted to speak with the young man as though she didn't have a choice. That continues until the day my sister decided to bring him home. That was when things fell apart!!
To be continued next weekend........!
Stay tuned!!!
