Great steemians, permit me to share this special
dairy with you
This standing fan was given to me by my dad which he told me that the fan was bought even before my birth. This is not a myth though because I into life to see the fan in our home. Sequel to this, it is in my place to safeguard the fan at all cost of which I am trying very best.
I started experiencing some sort of sounds from the fan lately when there is power supply and it is usually annoying especially when I have a companion or maybe a visitor around. So I was pushed by the fault to open the fan by myself and detect the fault which I did
Since the fan is an old one, some part has started loosing it's original strength due to rust and other internal and external factors.
To open the fan was a big case, I needed to use 100% of my brain. The fan is coated with a rod and plastic nut from the outside which helped to strengthen the fans' belt from pulling off. It took me a couple of time to figure out that point as the loosing spot. well I succeeded

On opening the fan front base, I noticed that the sound was caused by some parts of the external iron net cover. This defect is caused by rust whiched has damaged the net from within.

All I could do was to cut out the shabby part of the net then I trimmed the remaining part very well to avoid another sound or other subsequent damages from the same spot, then I tried to fix it back

After fixing the net back, I switched on the fan to check if there will be any other sound but to my Greatest surprise there was not.

At this point, I was very proud of myself because I never thought I could do that on my own. Atleast the money I would have used to call someone to come help fix the fan was saved for something else.
Thank you for your time great family ♥️
