The current situation in Nigeria is debilitating to the point that scenes are changing, people are changing and lives are changing. The news has it that bad things happen every now and then and this is evident in the environment we surround ourselves today. The economic state of my country has caused untold death, increased crime rate, hunger, and other bad events. This is my report of the trending news happening in my city.
Fuel scarcity |
---|
Any Nigerian would know that fuel has become an essential commodity now, a scarce one like that of gold. It's now very hard to get even with the scary price tagged to it. There was a day some time last week where fuel went scarce. **Fuel stations refused to sell petrol to customers, leaving them panting with black market sellers at a scary rate of #1000 - #2000 naira.
This happened a day before yesterday. The bus I was on wanted purchasing fuel for domestic use but all filling stations had closed and refused to sell. Luckily for him, he saw a fuel station that was open.
The crowd scared him badly. The number of people on standby to purchase fuel in this station were like sands and they kept trooping in. There was even an outburst between customers as no one had that patient to wait for their turn. Someone just coming now will want to buy first, not considering the people that were there already.
It even got to a point where people standing exchanging words and blows with their fists. It was that bad. All because they refused to purchase black market price
Bathing Under the Rain |
---|
This happened some days back in my locality. This was actually the first time in years seeing people enter the flood to swim. The rain was just so heavy that it flooded everywhere, bringing about increased water body in residential areas. These children found pleasure diving into the flood and doing physical swimming. This was really serious and crazy though.
Another news that terrorised my area is the stealing of people's properties. As of yesterday, about 4 generators were stolen from big houses. How? **These robbers used technicalities in cutting off the metals these generators are housed. It was surprising to see and hear this . Good one week, the robbery incidents has been on a steady even with securities.
There's no human government that would ever solve the problems rampaging humans. It's becoming too much and this is my report.
The issue of increment in the price of petrol in our dear country is truly sympathetic. This has continuously brought us economic hardship and suffering, a common man cannot survive again, I just hope our government will allows us breath small. No be person we kill, na God bring us come this country, e no be our choice.
Best wishes dear.
