Some Mistaken Belief About Marriage

Hello my fellow steemians. How was your weekend? Today is Monday 30th, so we're starting a new week. I'm grateful to God for a wonderful weekend. I'm so happy to be a among the living. In two days time we will be in a new year. Happy new year in advance.
As a relationship counselor in my Facebook account I have decided to share my knowledge about relationship, sex and marriage here. Companionship is the best thing that can happen to you and can also be the worst thing that can happen to you. For us to know what makes marriage and relationship successful. We will go through some of the misconceptions that may deter a successful marriage. Let's dive in. Happy reading.

Introduction

Falling in love with someone and getting married to them is one of the most significant gift given to humanity. Marriage was for companionship, consequent ecstacy and pleasure. Sadly, not many married persons literally enjoy or find fulfilment or pleasure in this awesome relationship for many reasons;
misconception, unrealistic expectations, delay in child birth and so on. Looking closely at misconception, you are going to find out that it is actually the main fault of the problem behind plenty sad or unhappy marriage.
Let's go through a couple of misunderstanding you should discard:

Marriage Is The Final Point Of Your Financial Setback

Most people, especially women, get married with the notion that they will escape poverty. Such act will only set you up for disrespect, slavery and disdain. The fact that your partner is wealthy, you will do well to be financially independent and supportive in you union.

Marriage Is Modern-day Slavery

So many youths, particularly bachelorettes, sees marriage as slavery. Such mentality has caused a lot them to intentionally chose to be single moms. That's false information.

The Male Partner Must Be The Only Provider For The Family

Some people don't know this, but there's no written or unwritten law that exclude women from providing for the family. Even the Bible doesn't have such information. Remember the Proverb 31 woman, she was a sole proprietress which did not only supported her man in providing for the family. She also stretched out the hand of charity to other people outside her household. It WILL be wise to support your man financially, especially in this present day economy. It will help lift pressure and burdens from his shoulders.

Money Is All-In-All In Marriage

Though money is significant but can never satisfy all our needs and wants. Although the Bible declares that money answers all things, because you definitely need to run the affairs of the family, but it isn't all a couple need to be really happy. Money can't buy true love, offsprings, pure friendship and lots more.

The Union Must Be Conflict Free

The people who believe this are the real problem of disagreement in marriage. because they don't work towards the betterment of their union. Blissful marriage relationship doesn't just happen; it takes playing your role appropriately and obeying God's instructions about marital union.

All Mother-in-law Are Evil

So many single ladies enter into marriage with this goofy barbaric mindset. Before they officially get married, they are ready to contend and apparently engage in unnecessary conflicts with their mother-in-law. This is a wrong ideology about marriage.

Conclusion

It is goofy to have such mentality in this era. If apparently any of these misconception or more are your opinion about marriage, you need to go back to God's word. Yes. The Bible is the manual for the marriage institution, not a popular opinion. When you do so, and submit to God's will, He will definitely adorn you home.
God is happy when we have a successful home.
