INTRODUCTION
Hello friends, accept warm greetings from Cameroon and welcome to my blog. This is the first week of the season 2 Steemit engagement challenge. Congratulations to #steem4nigera for making in to this season and I guess it is going to be an interesting one with this beautiful. Here is my entry for this week’s contest below
It is indeed a pleasure for me to participate for the first time in a contest for this community. The topic for the contest "WELCOME MR. PRESIDENT: WE NEED A MANIFESTO FROM YOU, WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM YOU?" is an interesting one. I believe we all will learn something which we can make our communities better.
I am a young lady from Cameroon with a lot of dreams as I grew up. But I tend to see them been shattered gradually and some with no chance of realizing them by the deploring situation of my country. This gives a lot of pain looking at the bad things happening in my country. My country is one out of the many countries facing serious problems especially war and other crisis. Looking at all these happing I am placing my candidacy for the next presidential elections come 2024

MANIFESTO FROM @TENGUHATANGA FOR THE PRESIDENT OF CAMEROON REPRESENTING YOUTH ALIGNING FOR GROWTH PARTY (YAGP)
Dear young compatriots of our beloved country welcome to a new era of change. I want to thank all the vibrant youths who saw in me the leader they want to bring change in our country. It has also been the will of God which has let me to this point and so I give him my gratitude and ask for more wisdom to lead his people the right way
My dear friends and young people of Cameroon I want you all to take a minute of silence and glance quickly at the situation of our country. What do we see? Chaos everywhere and cries for peace and justice. Killing and many other crime waves has become the focal point for many people. My people the time has come for us to take a step towards a positive direction in our lives and country. It is time to right the wrongs of our leaders and ensure prosperity, love and peace in our mist again. We can’t continue to leave like slaves in our own country or been treated as an animal. We need to stand up, speak and fight for what we want so as to ensure a better Cameroon tomorrow.
WHY I THINK I AM SUITABLE FOR THE POSITION OF A PRESIDENT
A leader is a said to be born but others think a leader is made but I think a leader is born and I think I was born a leader. Aside from my conviction about myself, I have been chosen amongst the many others who wanted the same position to lead the party. These youths see in me the leader who can help them achieve the goal of having a peaceful, happy and prosperous country. Been a young person I have carried out many community projects as an individual and lead other groups to enable my local community and other have a better living environment. I have the means to rally people and investors to carryout projects which benefits the local man. These and many makes me the best candidate for this position
THE MOST PRESSING PROBLEMS THAT YOU CITIZENS ARE FACING AND PROPOSED SOLUTIONS
• SOCIO-POLITICAL CRISIS
Dear friends before you continue reading take a pause and Google the impact of the Anglophone crisis or Book haram war in Cameroon. I tell you my friends, war and blood spilling is never a solution to a problem. I can clearly remember back in 2015/2016 when the Anglophone crisis started with demands from lawyers and teachers. They were requesting for many things and amongst them were ending tribalism and equal treatment. Back then people graduate from school with good results but ends up as a hawker or a call box person or an okada/taxi driver. Our Anglophone universities and schools were flooded with purely French speaking teachers who didn’t care if he/she transmitted his/her lectures in Pidgin English or in French. This was so alarming that we had to react. These and many things made lawyers and teachers to speak up and before we realized it blood started spilling. The crisis is 6 years now and when we look at it about 1.5 million and more lives have been lost due to the crisis. Innocent children, adults, men and women have been victims of the crisis. Almost every Anglophone has been touched just like me. Three about a month ago my aunt’s husband was killed along his colleagues by the Amba boys. This crisis has brought more problems like destruction of public and private infrastructure, rendering many homeless, many are refugees in other towns (internally displaced persons; IDPs) and countries, taking away many lives, increased crime waves as many young boys now smoke weed and take the gun to fight the military even the citizens. We now live in a situation of unrest and uncertainty
In order to end the killing from every side and ensuring peace, peace need to be restored by granting equal rights to all citizens in the country without any bias of tribe. Granting of the requests by the teachers and lawyers and ensuring the laws are rightly followed by all.

• CORRUPTION
This happens to be like a normal thing here just like other countries. There is no activity in my country which is carried out purely without the corrupt minds misleading the right purpose of the activity. Normally as a graduate after high school anyone is free to write any competitive exam and get accepted on merit basis but that’s never the case. Imagine a competitive examination is launched for a job or education and 100 people are needed. Out of this number 5% gets it by merit while 95% gets it by bribery and the person with the highest amount of money makes it. This actually stops/prevents the right persons from getting the job or education seat. This is discouraging as it is been done everywhere and openly.
To end corruption in my country, thorough cleaning of the country by relieving all those in public offices of their duties and bringing in people who are ready to serve the country well and not themselves.

• UNEMPLOYMENT
If you are a human being and without a job you can never have a sound mind. Take a look at the economy today you will see many jobless youths and adults roaming the streets with nothing to take home. This is so frustrating that many have engaged in to arm robbery, cyber fraud and scamming and many others. The town is just so chaotic with many crime waves making the environment unsafe.
Citizens of the country need to have a better life and to do so they need and income earned from a job. This can be achieved by creating projects and activities which offers jobs for people to be employed. This will in turn reduce crime waves as they will be busy with their jobs and not seeking evil ways to make money and they will also have an improved living standard
• POOR ROADS AND INFRASTRUCTURE
The roads and infrastructure of my town especially has nothing to write home about. Imagine a national road and entrance to a region of Cameroon looking like a farm road. I can say a farm road is at least better than the road from the West to North West region. Two days ago travels spent about 24 hour from Babadjou to Bamenda which is a normal drive of 1-2 hours. The roads are so bad that it makes movement difficult. Many regions also have poor roads and infrastructure which leaves the area undeveloped and inaccessible.
To solve this good inter unban roads construction should be done and construction of good structures in the town to portray its beauty. With good roads in an area development is not far from its doors.
• FOOD SHORTAGE
Food now in many markets is so expensive which makes feeding difficult especially to a poor man. Prices of many food items have risen and when asked they sellers complain of poor farm roads which makes transportation to the market difficult. In order to make up for their expenditure they add prices of goods. Also there is over dependence on importation of foreign goods. With the war in Ukrain most imported goods are difficult to get like chemical fertilizers and hence prices are high with a bag of fertilizer costing 45000 FCFA (about 700-800 steem). With this production drops as many can’t afford the fertilizer hence food supply reduces
Creating good farm to market road will help the transportation of farm products with ease and thus prices will reduce. Reduction in farm inputs and giving of incentives to the famers by the government will help increase production
INNOVATIONS I AM BRINGING IN?
In order to obtain a peaceful and prosperous country I am bringing the following
• Sustainable agriculture methods:
Having a sustainable agricultural practice in the country will help ensure quality food produced and at the same time protecting the environment. This can be done by limiting the use of chemicals in the farm and promoting organic farming. Also second generation agriculture methods can be used to obtain mass production. Lastly, full support will be given to farmers with incentives and projects to promote production. This will limit the dependence on importation and encourage national production hence money that would have been sent out to buy foreign goods will be used to boost the economy
• National equality:
This may seem to be difficult but I see it possible as each region of the country will receive equal distribution of resources so as to ensure their development. This will limit some regional conflicts for resources. This will facilitate national growth and development
CONCLUSION
Being a president or a leader is not an easy task but a great leader is that which works with his/her team/people and not alone. We need a change and so with the great team of YOUTH ALIGNING FOR GROWTH PARTY (YAGP), we will have a better Cameroon
