The Diary Game Season 3: A day I didn't Go to Church but I was in Church || 25% Payout to @null

INTRODUCTION

Sunday is a day set aside for Christians to gather together and worship God. The Bible encourages Christians to do this as it has a way of actively involving everyone in the worship of The Father.

Today, I decided not to go to church but to be in church. Over the weeks, I had seen a channel in DSTV that teaches the raw word of God. Everywhere the truth of God's word is thought, that's where I go. So I have put it in my mind that any day I won't feel like going to church, I will be in church watching that channel. Thank God there is always light in the morning, with that my Sunday was made.

Due to my tired state on Saturday, I woke up at about 6:30am but remained in my mattress until 16:45am as I stressed and rolled from side to side on the bed. I contemplated for some time whether to go to church or not. When I concluded I won't go, I stood up from the mattress and moved to the sitting room. I tuned my DSTV to Faith channel where I decided to join them for an online worship. The service started at 7:00am with some worship songs. This was followed by charge from a minister of God. After this, the choir ministered in praise and worship songs for about 20 minutes. Offering was taken after a charge from one of the pastors. Songs of praise were sang as people dropped their offerings.

Immediately after the offering, the minister who was to take the Word came to the altar. He preached the Word with boldness and taught us to live a life that has been redeemed from the curse of the world. It was very impactful as I listened with rapt attention. At 9am, the light was taken, so I quickly opened my DSTV application. There I watched the service to a close.

As the service closed, I was led by the spirit of God to continue in worship and prayer. Since I had personal issues to settle with God, I yielded immediately and started to worship. After worship, I went into Thanksgiving, as I had many things I was indebted to God in Thanksgiving. I worshiped, thanked and prayed to God to intervene in my life and endeavors. Life has been tough this year but I know even the little I have done and have is just by His grace. I needed God to come through for me in some personal areas, so I tarried in prayers for a longer time. When I was satisfied in my spirit, I ended the session and gave thanks for answered prayers.

When I was done, I checked the time and saw that I had gone an hour in worship, thanksgiving and prayers. I was happy because for a while, I had been brief, spending time with God. Sometimes I miss prayers. I just hoped that I continue in that spirit.

It was passed 11am, so I went to prepare what I would eat. I warmed the egusi (melon) soup I had prepared on Saturday, made cassava flour and ate.

Other activities of the day followed there after.

CONCLUSION

There are days we need a lone time with God. Sometimes, we need to separate ourselves from the crowd and seek the face of God. We saw our Lord Jesus did this in His days. We are called to emulate this. This is because we have personal issues that we can only pray about when we are alone with God. In church, they do not mention individuals' prayer points.

I enjoyed every bits of the time I spent with God. I didn't even feel like I wasn't in Church because I was sure I got more than what I would have gotten if I had gone to church.
