My Neighborhood Watch #89 - Reporting Events Around Us

Hello Steemians How was your day? Mine was beautiful,i quess same with yours. It's that time of event reporting again, welcome to the event of my mum's burial,Hmmmmmm!!!

Some times in life we experience the unexpected and unimaginable,same was my case with the death of my precious mother.

I came back from market that evening and saw my mum dressed herself very well with my powder well applied on her face.When i asked her reason, she said she just felt like.I brought out the wheat flour i bought for her and she asked whom do you still buy this for.I then asked her if she doesn't like it anymore,she just laughed.She said to me in calm voice...MY GOD WILL BLESS YOU MY CHILD and i responded with AMEN!!! But i didn't know that was her parting blessing for me.

I woke up that night to ease myself and found my mother not sleeping.i asked her while she was awake she said she's unable to sleep.
She asked me to get her warm water and i did so,not knowing it was the last time she will take anything from me.As i was about leaving her room to go back to mine,she told me that she's about passing out.i turned immediately and asked to where!!! She kept quite,i went close and sat beside her,pet and prayed for her because she complained of chest pain.

I went back to my room to pray but slept off suddenly, after a little while i heared my name and woke up but didn't see anyone around me,I went to check on her behold she was gone.. chaiiii...i called her pet names pushed her but she didn't respond.I then stretched her body and woke everyone in the house

That's the burial day and at this point her church held an assembly for her corps as their custom is ,the georget on me in this picture was our family uniform and this was my very first time of dressing this way.

When the pastor conducting the assembly was done giving his sermon,he called all the members of our family to come out for prayers.
That's the family members in this photo which consist of children, grand children, sisters, brothers uncles,aunts etc

The prayer ended and the corps was carried by undertakers to the burial ground.On getting there,the casket was laid down waiting for the pastors to perform their final rights before burying the body.When they were done my mother's corps went down to her grave and covered with sand,at that point it became so clear to me that i've lost my first mentor, pastor and teacher.
We then went back to the event center for other necessary things which includes entertaining our quest,dance and vote of thanks to everyone for the success of the occasion.
