If you are not making it big on Steemit, then maybe it's time to go back to your drawing board.
How my Steemit journey began…
When I joined this platform in June 2021, my primary aim was to steem and earn. By this I mean, writing out my thoughts and making liquified money in the process.
I had my plans well sketched out.
Write frequently
Perfect my writing skills
Engage from others
So it was beyond growing my earnings, but growing my skill set and level of proficiency in writing. And with every little effort came growth.
Tracking my growth
As you already know, growth is measurable and there are metrics you can use to track your performances. These key performance indicators (KPIs) differ depending on your industry, field or ultimate goal.
On Steemit, the two primary KPIs I give utmost attention to are steem power (SP) and the reputation
They help track whether or not I am growing.
Why reputation?
A user's reputation is used to determine how trustworthy they are. It is ONLY earned through upvotes. Hence to build my reputation, I prioritized publishing quality content that will earn me quality upvotes.
Also had to eschew defaulting Steemit's rules. The few things that can decrease a user's reputation include
i. plagiarism
ii. engaging in nefarious activities etc.
The experience can be daunting.
With every little growth comes a reward
The secret tools that have helped me grow my steem power are both blogging and keeping my club status active. The latter which was introduced sometime last year has made growing my steem power easier, especially for me.
Growth comes with more tasks and challenges
My current growth pace has been slow and ridiculously steady. It will take a lot of real-time effort to carry on major tasks like handling an account that has about 5 million Steem Power. But if I have a little more time aside from dealing with schoolwork and the rest, I will have to ensure that I work on myself first. It’s by winning in little things that you can overcome the tougher ones.
If you have read this post up to this point, then I have one last thought for you:
Growth is a journey. It takes a gradual process. Usually, it begins with a step, a tiny effort here, some major mistakes there and most important of all, resilience. To attain any desirable height, it is necessary to consider taking well-informed and calculated steps. While you are at it, never relent in the effort.
I'm inviting @lirvic, chiomzy810 and radleking to join @josepha's next contest.
From what you've shared in this beautiful piece, one can say you now understand the platform. Am glad you've grown over time. Keep pushing
However, you seems to be out of #club5050 as we speak, do power up. Moreso do well to support others, your voting CSI is also zero.
I hope you do the needful as soon as possible.
