Did you know that Houseflies have sensors on their feet, which they use to taste food, just by stepping on it...?πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Funny right..?

Despite the popular believes that the housefly is a vector of so many diseases. The guy is just doing its own job as a living creature...πŸ˜ŒπŸ™‚πŸ€—

This is my entry for this competition;

Let's get to the drawing stages;

I started by sketching some part of its abdomen and the wing with an HB pencil....

Here, I added the head and the eye, then one leg still with that HB pencil before bringing in the 2B pencil to outline some part of the eye and leg a bit .

In this slide, I used a red ink to shade the eye, pencil for the wings and I mixed blue and red ink to get black shade for the abdomen, since there was no black ink at my disposal.

Here, I was through with the first one. I had to make a top view of its head ,so I started by normal sketch , then some water drops sketches too. Then colour the eyes with the red ink...
Then added the shadows on the floor..

This is the final result....

Have you ever seen one

Yes oOoOO
Most places. They're very rampant

Many believe that it is the primary transporter of many diseases and hence dread it. But is there anyway humans and our environment benefit from it?

While houseflies are known for spreading diseases, they also play a role in the environment by helping with the decomposition of organic waste. Houseflies feed on decaying organic matter and help to break them down, returning nutrients back to the soil.

Additionally, houseflies are a food source for many animals like birds, lizards and even other insects . They are an important part of the ecosystems which man also belong to.

It is important to take necessary precautions to prevent the spread of diseases by controlling the population of housefly around our living spaces. However, it is also important to also recognize the role that houseflies play in our environment.
