Steem4nigeria Accelerator contest week 72: How I handle pressure

Greetings to amazing members of this community it is my pleasure to welcome you all again to my blog. Today's topic is how to handle pressure when we hear of the word pressure, so many things come to mind and we will easily conclude that pleasure is not usually a good thing so to speak. So do we face pressure? Yes!! can we overcome it? Yes!!, let's see how we can overcome.

What do you understand by pressure?.

Age and everyone of us have different meaning to pressure pertaining to different context or use at the moment but in this contest, pressure is seen as an awful Force, feeling, tension that is caused by a factor which makes a person uneasy. Examples of such factors are pressure from academics or work, financial constraints and possibly health issue and as a matter of fact peer pressure from Friends.

Look at the positive

Have you been under pressure before? If yes, how do you handle it?.

Well actually sometimes, as humans we are faced with pressure every day, unarguably it is part of humans. So specifically during my days in secondary school ss3 to be precise, I was at the last floor of the building, don't think I was contemplating suicide hell No me wey wan become the next Methuselah 😂😂. Well that was on a lighter note. This was a period where some of my colleagues came back after writing their Joint Admission Matriculation Board and telling me their setbacks and how it was. As a human being I was filled with so much pressure others said it was okay others said different things and all that. So I was wondering how a first timer like me will cope in such a situation. I just had to hope for positive things, I prayed to God and relax my mind, took a deep breath as well and had a little sleep that day. So on the d day of my exams I felt nervous but that did not hold me back from achieving my goal. Even the atmosphere was dull because it was raining some of my classmates were tensed but we did it and God did too. My determination paid off I can boldly say that I got 234 out of 400 not bragging but I know others got higher than this if e easy run am 🤣. So what helped me was just having a positive mind, prayer and as well as physical exercise, and it paid off.

How do you view pressure do you see it as something that happens to mar or makes you?.

Personally, pressure can be viewed in so many ways pressure help me to look at the positive side and think and act fast why am I saying this, after I got some responses from my colleagues who wrote prior to my d day I sat my ass down to study more than before,others might see it as something that makes things worse but I tell you if you really look at the reality of life pressure helps you lean and stay stronger as well as fight relentlessly so as to get to the top.

And you will definitely smile at the end ☺️

What would be your advice to those (i.e job applicant) who are quick to state that they can work under pressure.

Great steemians and young graduates, who seek for job opportunities always be truthful to your employer by telling them that you cannot work under pressure no one has ever walked on that pressure and succeeded even God did not work under pressure while creating the world no wonder everything isn't it right please but the sun and the moon. That aside, to overcome pressure look at the positive, break your tasks into chunks or bit by bit for easy accomplishment feel free to ask questions when necessary and also appreciate small wins that you have accomplished.
