Faithful God of all universe the protector of humankind, he has made things possible. Welcome to my blog once again. @vickyson

what is the situation in your country currently?, Has items in your country increased in price lately?

The situation of things in my country is very unbelievable because just like me others are surprised by the way things have changed lately

InCollage_20240913_232727781.jpg

The price of goods and commodities have increased times 4 in my country because the items that you can purchase for 100 nairas are now sold for 400 nairas and those items that you can buy at the rate of 500 Naira are now sold for 2,000 nairas a lot of people have been crying because of the way things have risen in price

In all areas of my country items have risen in price even the village that we used to go to and buy things at cheaper rate are now being higher than the people that lives in the city because of high transportation the farm products at which we purchase at 700 Naira is now sold for 3,000 nairas and this has never been in a history of our country before but the change had left a great gap in the life of people many have been shattered because of the current situation

Mention 5 items in your country that have increased in price. How much was it before and how much does it cost now( it will be nice to also show the price in Steem)
  • fuel
  • sugar
  • rice
  • beans
  • Guinea corn

/ Fuel was one of the cheapest commodities in our country before because we have the cruel oil and transportation has been on a low key, especially in the rural area but recently because of the fuel subsidy we have suffered in teams of transportation, fuel from 200 nairas to 1,300 right now it's made so many sellers to increase the price of their goods because of transportation

/ Sugar is one of the commodities that we purchased at a very low price in our country before but right now the cost of transportation makes sugar rise from 50 naira per cup to 500 nairas and that is why many families have stopped taking pap because sugar has become so high in price and some decided to take their Gary and pap without sugar

Students who used to take sugar and garri to school for the suspension of hunger before cooking food have now stopped buying sugar to school because it has become extremely high

/ Rice, rice is one of the cheapest commodities in my community we used to buy rice per mode for 250 nairas with 1,000 Naira you could get 4 modes of rice but revise is the case, rice is being sold for 3,000 nairas per mode in my area and this has brought hunger to many homes because not all family have the money to purchase rice in such price

Now that we have tomatoes available but we don't have Rice to eat, rice and stew, rice is being seen as the food of the rich people. You hardly find rice in people's homes because of the high purchases in the market.

/ Beans have never risen to 3,500 Naira in my Region before but right now in some states are being purchased for 5,000 Naira per mode while in my rural area, we used to buy 400 Naira per mode we purchase them at the rate of 3,500 nairas and that has brought a lot of people to a stopping point of eating rice and beans our people have suffered in the recent hand of the government change and we still don't know where this is taking us in our country

/ I have lived for 30 years and I never had Guinea corn rise in price to a place of 1,500 nairas but recently we bought Guinea corn at the rate of 1,500 nairas from 150 nairas in price, people who store Guinea corn this year have benefited because it has risen more than six times of what they have bought and store because transportation is high and the price of the commodity has risen even higher in the market

Many people now trick with their legs to wherever they are going because transportation is high and because transportation is high, many people have increased the price of whatever they are selling because they will have to benefit and get a profit from what they are selling, the scenarios of our country is beyond measure the change has left us in shock and imagination of what is happening and no one is saying anything from the top

How are you coping with the difficulties in your country and what do you think is causing these difficulties?

Honestly, it has never been easy with the recent development in my country the little breakfast that we used to have in the morning with joy on our faces is no longer happening because everything is so high that parents have to squeeze every little income that comes their way so that their family can have at least a square meal a day

I felt bad when my little boy asked me, Mom, when will I have golden more and cerelac that are used to have before going to school in the morning also it's been a long I ate bread, I looked at him and I cried inside because I could not answer him because I don't know what to tell her I just have to tell him I am sorry but right now things are in bad shape

I know that the boy did not understand what I meant but he will grow and eventually understand even if things get better in the future he will read about the history of how things were before the time he was living

One thing about us the African people is that we easily adapt to any new development that comes up and that is why we are still surviving with the help of God everything is possible and we are still hoping and praying that God will touch the heart of our leaders so that they will hear the cry of the masses and reach out to us in one way or the other.

If you had an opportunity to leave your country for another country for greener pastures which country would you like to travel to and why?

If I am allowed to leave this country to find a greener pasture in life I will go to America because I have had a lot about American security and job opportunities and the freedom that is given to its citizens, I would love to live in such environment with so much hospitality and care for it kind

I also had that it pays their workers per hour unlike my country where you will work for the whole 31 days with little payment so I would love to be in such an environment to explore more and to give my children a quality education right from the beginning due to poor payment of salary in my country many workers don't take their work seriously and that is affecting the young generation.

Thanks for stopping by; I am grateful, and I love you. Thank you, Almighty, for the blessings and provision. I'm grateful forever for giving us a mouth and putting food on it.

I would love to invite you.
