The diary game for 20-03-2023 || Sewing an ankara dress with Yoke.

Dear diary,
I'm sorry I'm just telling you now that I am learning tailoring, well I'm 3 weeks in and so far I have sown about 3 complete dresses, I'll drop you pictures at the end of my diary, today I completed my fourth dress, sewing an ankara gown with Yoke, stay with me as I tell you all about my day.

MORNING SECTION

I work up this morning around 6am, after sleeping my 4am, because I was up all night, reading and leaving meaningfully comments on people's posts. So I had just 2 hours of sleep, waking up I headed straight to the kitchen and prepared beans, which I ate with soaked garri. After I had my bath and headed to work. My work starts by 8am, and by the time I got to work, it was already 8:05.

My co-apprentice had already arranged everywhere so I settled down, and immediately brought out my clothes to cut so I can continue sewing.

AFTERNOON SECTION

I had gone half into my sewing, since I'm still learning, I sew a very slow rate, at 12:30 I still hadn't finished my dress, but I didn't relent effort, cause I knew once my madam came to the shop, I won't have chance to sew anymore. Later I took a break to eat small lunch, and when I was done, I thought I could continue the sewing, but no madam had come back, and immediately she started cutting clothes for us to see

EVENING SECTION

We sew all afternoon till evening. Even passed our closing time we were still sewing, I stayed an hour extra at work and I had only gone quarter into the dress I was sewing, I walked down back home with my friend.

I came back home, hoping I would have atleast small chance to update my diary, but I also off but luckily for me i got a call from my boyfriend and that's how I woke up and got the chance to complete my diary.
