Hello fellow steemian, It my pleasure to welcome you to another engagement contest and today’s topic is very interesting where I will be taking about my manifesto when I become Nigeria president and what should my country men, women and children expect form me in my time in office.

Nigeria is the most populous black nation on earth, with over 200 million people and with around 371 tribes speaking different languages across the 36 state and federal capital of the country. Nigeria is bless with abundant of natural resources and a prominent among them is crude oil which is by far one of the most valuation natural resource in the world. Been one of the largest exporter of crude oil, it make sense to be one of the richest county in the world.
The sad reality is that, is not the current situation, over 87 million people live in extreme poverty. That is 43.5% of the entire population. Why is the poverty percentage so high when we produce around 2 million barrels of oil per day? The answer to that question is Corruption, the Nigeria government makes millions of dollars everyday form oil alone but the money is just revolving round some particular group of people. Now every tribe/region is fighting to be president and they usually use the word “is our turn” I guess what that meant is it our turn to rule the county and make our own money.
This has caused constant shaft in power between different geo-political zones in the county. So now irrespective of whether you are capable of ruling or not so far is your turn the government will be shifted to you. To me I don’t think we have different political party because a politician can easily switch form one party to another. Nigeria current situation now is nothing to write home about, they is hardly one sector that is doing as well as it should. Education, Agriculture, Infrastructure, Security, and even basic amenities such as Electricity, Good Road, and Health Care are all in bad state.
Well if given the opportunity, I use the word given because even though we claim to run a democracy system of government, you cannot wake up one morning and wish to be president No it will take years of been a member of a recognize political party, serving the party leaders and if you are lucky and rich which is mostly stolen public funds than you have a chance.
So I know I am better situated to be president because I hate to see people suffer they are many instance where I carry out charity mostly for young homeless boys called Almajiri. It pains me every day when I see how these children suffer because of how ignorant their parent are and this is happening because of no government law is in place to ease this children pain.
The second reason is that I am currently a student of Agricultural Engineering year 4 or 5 year program. Agriculture is one of the best option to diversify my county economic and stop over dependent on crude oil because the world is moving toward renewable energy and the demand for petrol will keep reducing. So I am the man for job of bring back our agriculture standard to the way it were decade ago where cash crop is seen as one of our major export.
Agriculture product grown in Nigeria with high export value.

Thirdly, I am young most leaders of the country are so old some can barely walk upright. Now imagine someone who is finding it difficult to walk, how can that person think and act in a way of solving millions of people problems. We need a young, intelligent, smart, citizen and I possess all those qualities.
We as Nigerian are facing a lot of problem but I will discuss few and their possible solution.
-Insecurity: This has become the major problem face in my country for some years now. The rate of kidnaping and gruesome murder increase every day. The perpetrators are reported living inside the forest that is the report we get from the security agency. I am going to tackle this problem by starving those in the forest till they surrender. I know this method will be effective because we all need food to survive and those perpetrators are getting it food from the city so I will cut that link to their food supply.
-Education: This is one sector the government did not take seriously and I know they should because they say the children will grow up one day and be the leader of tomorrow. The university lecturer has been on strike now for many month leaving millions of youth out of school. The solution is simple give the lecturer what they want no matter what it cost.
-Corruption: If the rate of corruption keep increasing no country can develop. I will restructure the way funds are been allocated and keep people I trust at every point where money will be entering or leaving the government account with proper supervision of any allocation for either project or whatever reason.
As said early we need to diversify this county economy and the best sector with the potential is agricultural sector. We are blessed with fertile land where numerous crops will flourish and they will be abundant of food for the citizen and even enough for export. The major place I will focus on is research, no county can develop without proper research institute. With good research, a lot of problems will be solve and great innovation will be discovered.
We currently have some good working research institute but there are not enough a lot product we import into the current such as Machinery (including computer), Vehicle, Plastic or any Equipment in general will be reduce and we can plough back those money to our research in developing even something better than what been imported in.
This will help our currency Naira and our GDP and also attract foreign investors. Although, the chance of all this happening is slim if we are still facing insecurity so my first action as the president is to make sure my people are safe and then development can follow up immediately.

No sector is doing well in this country, look at the basic amenities you have stated. Which of these is doing well in the country.
Seeing all of the entries as regard Nigeria, I feel sad every time I read and comment
None has a positive paragraph as regards Nigeria's situation
It is heartbreaking
But I believe it will be better
