"SEC S15W4: Broken Trust"

"Can Two walk together without agreement...". This statement is culled from the Holy Bible and it's built on the basis of trust. In the modern world where businesses can be done anywhere, trust is needed as a key factor. Pls walk with me as I unveil Trust as a subject matter.

Trust in my understanding is a feeling that individuals possess a sense of reliability in agreement. According to this, if a person is trusted, then the other partner can depend on him. In the world of business, we hear the phrase Sure Plug or Trusted Plug. Then, the phrase refers to vendor who are reliable in their business with other.

In my county Nigeria, Trust has become an issue that need to discussed about. The creation and development of Cyber Crime has made people to lose trust on one another. In my case, I trust the trustworthy like my parents and members of inner circle (siblings, extended family and friends). On the other hand, I don't give out my trust to complete strangers.

I had a situation that my trust on a person was broken. The situation was dated back when I was in Neo-life company. They usually had a business trip across local government area on Weekends. Before then, the supposed sponsor told me that foods and transport will taken care of.

I just believed because of my JJC (newbie mode). On arriving there, it wasn't what I was told. About the food aspect, they barely afford a square meal. Because of that fact, I had to spend my pocket money for food to sustain me. About my transport fare home, I heard a different story.

They told me that I'll be sponsoring my way back. I was angry but they motivated me that I can do it. I had to trek a long distance from the interior of Nsit Ubium to Uyo. While trekking, I saw a friend who helped me with transport back to Uyo. Ever since then, my trust with them shattered into tiny pieces.

To mend broken trust, here are some guidelines that is worth following:

• Identify the reason behind the broken trust.
• Inquire from the individual and wait for response.
• If either of the partner who was at fault realize his or her mistake, then the issue can be resolved.
• But, if the partner involved doesn't care, then forget about the relationship and focus on a new life.
