Hello fellow steemians it is of pleasure to write in wonderful community once again, and today i will like to write something about technology . The name of the topic i will like to write on is woodwork hand tools.

Definition

Firstly what is woodwork?
Woodwork can be defined as the ability or skill of making things from wood. Now we know what wood work is. Lets review the next question

What are woodwork hand tools?

Woodwork hand tools are portable tools used in wood operations for measuring, machining, fabricating, setting and marking out, driving,boring, cutting and pairing wood to a desirable finished product. This is the definition of woodwork hand tools, the most important thing people should know about woodwork is that a person that handles wood is a carpenter.

Workbench fittings and appliances

A workbench is the flat, raised surface on which wood working is performed.
The workbench has four devices mounted onto it to perform particular jobs. These include the following:
A) The bench stop
B) The bench hook
C) The bench vice
D) The well

Secondly, we would love to discuss about some measuring, driving, holding, and cutting & pairing tools used in wood work operations. I will explain some tools

Measuring tools

The following are some common measuring tools used in woodwork measuring operations;
a) Tape measure: This is usually 2 metre or 5m used in measuring short and long distances.

b)Ruler: This is usually made of wood and is used for short but accurate measurements.
c) Calipers

Driving tools

The following are the different dribing tools used in woodwork;
a) Hammers: This a useful driving tools used to secure nails in wood. It is also uses for removing nails from wood

b) Mallets
c) Screwdrivers

Boring tools

à) wood braces
b) Rachet braces
c) Brawdawls

Holding tools

a) Vices: This is a heavy steel clamp with jaws which can be adjusted to hold a piece of wood firmly together.

b) Clamps: This is used for holding piecs of wood togethèr. There are three types of clamps and they are ;

. G-clamps
. F-clamps and
. S-clamps
