Hello friends, it is me @wizzyboy3 and today I would love to post once again in this wonderful Steem4Nigeria community I would love to talk about food and the six classes of food. Before that let me just write a small note about food so let's start,
Food
Food is anything we take into the body to stay healthy and grow well. Without food, nobody can stay alive so we all need food to live. Thanks to the vitamins in the food we eat we remain healthy and get the nutrients we need to grow.
Food has many importance which are listed below,
- Food quenches hunger
- It serves as a source of entertainment.
- It provides nutrients for growth
- It provides us with vitamins to fight diseases.
So let's talk about the six classes of food first we have
Protein: This class of good is an energy-giving food, it builds the tissues that help in producing heat for the body. Protein can be seen in the following beans, meat, fish, etc
Carbohydrates: are known as bodybuilding food. Thanks to carbohydrates energy is constantly regained. We can get carbohydrate from rice, corn and other cereals.
Mineral salt: This can be gotten in most food we eat like salt just as the name inclines
Fats and oil: Fats and oil helps also to increase heat in the body. It can be gotten from Butter,Groundnut and palm oil.
Vitamins: Vitamins like vitamin A, and vitamin C can be gotten from various sources. For example Vitamin A is gotten from mostly carrot and sugar cane, while Vitamin C is gotten from the citrus family comprising of orange and others.
And for the last class of food we have
- Water: Water can be gotten from different sources, water keeps the body hydrated and fights against diseases. Taking water is an essential part of human life so it should be cherished.

Sushi? Seriously? Since when they are considered healthy food? I really doubt it that you can eat them even as healthy carbs or fats. Every time I eat them, I end up gaining more weight. Well, it’s your choice, but personally I prefer something like organic grass fed whey protein. And I wonder why you haven't included it in your list.
