Hello dear friends it is a pleasure to post in this wonderful Steem4Nigeria community, today I would love to talk about natural resources it is a very important topic so let's get started.

Natural resources

Natural resources are those materials put in place by God to satisfy man's need. Natural resources have various importance which we will discuss after this sub topic.
We have two types of natural resources they are ;

1. Plant resources: As the new implies these are resources that are gotten from plants. Below are some examples of plant resources;

A) Fruit trees: These are trees that bear fruit that contain vitamins and minerals that are essential for the body for both man and animals.

B) Vegetables: These are edible leaves or roots of a plant that are healthy and nutritional.

C) Ornamental plants: These are plants that are used to decorate and beautify an environment.

D) Cash crops: These are crops that are grown by the farmer to serve as a source of income.

E) Textile crops: These are crops that produce materials used in making fabrics like cotton.

F) Medicinal plants: These are plants that are taken to cure illness or to take care of the health

G) Wood: These are trees that are cut down to be used to make furnitures like chairs, tables etc.

1. Animal resources: These are those useful materials that are used to satisfy man's need. Below are the examples;

A) Meat: This is an edible resource that is gotten from animals, it satisfy hunger or eaten to find pleasure or as a means of entertainment.

B) Horns: These are materials that are gotten from bulls or from the elephant tusk, it is used as a means of sending signals and as a means of communicating to one another.

C) Feathers: These are various elements that allow a bird to fly. It is mainly used for beautification.

D) Diary products: These are products like milk, yoghurt or cheese that are gotten from cattles or other few farm animals.

F) Beast of burden: Some animals are used to accommodate hard task that should have been done by the farmer.

G) Textile animals: These are animals that produce materials which are used to make textile and a later turned to fabrics.

Though this is not all, let's talk about the important of natural resources. They are below as followed;

1. They serve as medicine for man and animals

2. They give vitamins to the body

3. They are used as a source of income for the farmer and for his family

4. They satisfy hunger

5. They are used to perform some farm work

6. Some materials gotten from them are used to produce clothes

7. They are used to beautify the environment or a particular object.
