Hello friends, compliments of the season!
Trust we all are enjoying the yuletide. It's been a busy period for so many, and for the Christian faithful who celebrate Christmas, I just want to say Merry Christmas. In no distance time, we should have a brand new year before us.
Christmas in my country is largely celebrated especially those from the eastern part of the country. This is a time when those in the diaspora make time to visit the country and their hometown. And those who do not reside in their hometown are also seen traveling down for this celebration.
Since the present dispensation, citizens have been worse off with the economic situation. A severe condition whereby food inflation is off the roof, and transportation fares are on the rise. But does this affect the luxurious status of people from the East despite being the supposedly worst hit by the situation? We will get to know as we read.
A brief background study of people from the East. These are people who are known to be allegedly marginalized in the affairs and the entity called Nigeria. They are not only hardworking but known to be the commercial hub of the country due to their largely entrepreneurial affiliations. This cut across their business hold in the entire sub-hubs of the country.
No wonder the saying; any business or location without the presence of this said tribe, be rest assured that either the locality or business isn't viable for venture or place for habitation. They are naturally migrants looking for the ideal business opportunities to hang on. Therefore, these people tend to thrive irrespective of the situation they find themselves.
I was amazed at the turnout of activities for both last yuletide and the present. It clearly shows that people don't seem to look like what they pass through in the economy. For the massive turnout of travelers and empty streets. And roads already being less congested, this tells me that appearance in this case is deceit. In the motor parks, it's all buzzing, for private car travelers seem to be overloaded with baggage.
This continues to get worse as we approach the end of the year. Commercial markets are locked on New Year's Eve and reopened 7 days later. This allows commercial market owners to also take a compulsory break. I expect a complete temporary migration on the 31st of December 2024. Despite the fact this is the best time to reside in the city because of the less traffic, buzzing, and all of its activities, I find it a clear deception when people complain of hardship. Their action doesn't match their actions thereafter.
I've made my brief travel and enjoyed my Christmas and Boxing Day holidays, but it dawns on me again that I still need to get myself engaged with some engaging activities to compensate for the anticipated boredom. Indeed, there are many things to deal with; it is either the loneliness of staying alone at this time or the mood swings that precipitate mental health.
It has been challenging all through the year and more tasking this yuletide with off-chain and onchain demands. Sometimes, being strong remains the only option for those moments, since probably taking a break isn't an option but seemingly remains inevitable in the near time. You will agree with me that mental health is an important factor to be considered at all times.
For sure, the new year is already before us and I so wish for the best. A best that is void of vices that bring us down other than uplift us. A best that brings increase from our career path and blogging experience.
I sincerely want to thank everyone who has made this year a success for me. The challenges, the troubles, the hurt, the pains, were only there to strengthen us. To err is human; I hereby apologize for my inefficiencies that must have caused pain and hurt.
Thank you, friends...
This is a freestyle writing to help ease up my already tensed, tired, and strained nerves.
