What's experience?
Experience is simply a time in one's life that something happens. The process (es) of a particular action mekes up an experience. Somebody could be experienced in a field of study because he's been in that field for years, making him an expert or experienced.
Is experience the best teacher?
I don't think so. One does not have to wait for something bad to happen to him before being wise. Rather, the statement triggers one this be wiser than before in order not to regret.
For so many, they don't take what they do in life seriously until they find themselves in a situation that they never expected. Just when this happens, they wake up from their sleep to try to curtail what had happened.
What are the causes of this statement?
Laziness: A lot of people, especially youths today are lazy. People are lazy about almost everything. They feel they should just relax and wait for things to work out on their own. But when this happens the other way round which is always true, they see and regret why they had to experience it themselves.
Procrastination: This is another strong reason for the statement. I'll do it today, no tomorrow, I still have time has crippled a lot of work we need needed to do. So when the opportunity comes for us to show what we have, we fail because we kept postponing and was never ready.
Foolishness: It's only a person who's seen others suffer because of one thing or the other, and they want to repeat that same mistake, or something similar to that is unwise.
Lack of self respect: When we don't respect ourselves, we start regretting what we did, and go as far as putting the blame on others. If we can see the worth in us, we wouldn't have to go through some experiences to do the right thing.
Pride: A higher number of persons are victims of this unknowingly. This is because by the time you find out about how proud you've been the whole time, you're already regretting it. And you can't get back the time you lost.
Do you support or oppose this fact? State your reasons for either.
I stronglyoppose the fact that "experience is the best teacher."
We're meant to be wise and take precautions, not to allow ourselves to be experimented with before we ask God for wisdom. We can't recover the time to right every wrong.
Conclusion
In summary, though this could be unavoidable in our lives, we must try our best to keep bad experiences far off. Nobody's perfect, and if you don't feel in a thing, you might not be able to handle it well, but one still needs to avoid since lessons.
Do your best and leave the rest to God.
