Good day everyone, it is my pleasure to write here once again on a topic I believe is relevant to many Nigerians here and also people from other country.
Today I was with ₦300 the appr equivalent of 1steem and I was hungry so I entered my street in search of what to buy and eat. My intention was not to get some snack but something I can cook or too bad, garri to drink.

I go to the shop and started pricing things, a cup of(sand rice o) was ₦300 which means if I buy that I will not have money to buy condiments like pepper and onions as I already have oil and Maggi at home. I tried to go for noodles but the least one I saw wouldn't satisfy a month old baby talkless of myself.

I was left standing perplex and in thought, having no other option I decided to go for garri. Lucky enough a cup(empty can of tin milk) of garri was ₦200 and I bought it with ₦100 groundnut.
I cursed under my breath as I headed home because this kind of garri will only hold me for an hour max. How do I survive with the crypto market falling and the economy is falling but my hunger refuses to fall. Chai

Every day in Nigeria the cost of living keeps going high, the prices of goods keep going to moon as if there are the ones we want to hit the moon during this bull run.
Two years ago with ₦300 you could get 3 packets of indomie and eat very well. You could buy 3 cups of rice and still have money to buy condiments. You could buy an egg and bread with tea for breakfast.
₦300 worth of garri was what a family of 6 could eat comfortably but now 1 out of that six can't be satisfied by ₦300 worth of garri.

And the annoying thing is that this garri is supposed to by cheapest food in the market which can easily be assessed by the common man.

The effects

Just like Newton's third law stated, for Evey action there must be an equal and opposite reaction. Meaning that everything has consequences either positive and negative.
The high cost of living has led to many evil vices in my country, the rate of kidnapping has skyrocketed, organ harvesting is now on the rice and many youths are venturing into internet fraud and prostitution.

The solution

I believe the solution needs to start from the problem, the government should put in policies in place to checkmate the living conditions of its citizens because if they do not all hell will be let loose some day.
There should make social amenities available and cost the cost of governance so that money can be used to do better things.
These are salient issues and they should not be concerned about changing our national anthem. Buying a presidential jet or renovating the VP lodge.
They should help us as we voted them into power to do that before the cost of living kills the living.
I will stop here, let me finish drinking my garri and sleep.
