My Neighborhood Watch #89 - Reporting Events Around us

This morning, the atmosphere in the neighborhood around my house felt so fresh. Rain that cooled down last night had dew on leafs and a subtle cool pleasant nuance. I awakened, did my morning things and went for a walk. The roads were still damp and with the smell of earth after rain permeating the air.

On my way to the shop at end of the street I spotted a bunch of kids playing. The little kids appeared happy and were shouting out loud while running around the yard of neighbors playing tag. A short distance from them a few housewives were talking while starching their tiny wares just outside the doorway.

Out of the two the one near the market corner sell fried food and i was so hungry that suddenly my stomack started craving food.

Contrarily, a working father under a tree fixing a motorbike. Or so he said, he saved a neighbor getting into a jam with his car. We still have a strong neighborhood interaction of this type between neighbors hence, it made our community feel cozy and friendly.

In an abandoned lot down the street from our house, the residents were working together to dig out the weeds and removed trash. This is a regular activity of mutual cooperation to maintain the comfort of environment. I joined in for a moment to help lift several sacks of trash to the dump.

Towards noon, the voices of traveling traders began to be heard. A vegetable seller came with his cart, offering various kinds of fresh vegetables. Several mothers immediately approached to shop and chat for a moment. Moments like this remind me of how important social interaction is in maintaining harmony in the surrounding environment.

In the afternoon, the sky began to brighten and children returned to fill the small field to play soccer. Several adults sat on the side of the road, enjoying warm tea while chatting about various things.

Today may seem ordinary, but the togetherness and sense of caring between residents make it feel special. A lively environment with warm social interactions like this is what makes life more meaningful.
