Sadly but true, Metaphor.
Legend has it that a humble stone cutter lived resigned to his poverty, though he always longed to become a rich and powerful man. One day he expressed his desire aloud and what was his surprise when he saw that it had come true: he had become a rich merchant, this made him very happy until the day he met a man even richer and more powerful than him. Then he asked to be like that again and his wish was granted. Soon after, he realized that his condition had created many enemies and he was afraid.
When he saw how a fierce samurai resolved his differences with his enemies, he thought that the masterful handling of a combat art would guarantee him peace and indestructibility. So he wanted to become a respected samurai and he did. However, even though he was a feared warrior, his enemies had increased in number and danger. One day he was surprised to look at the sun from the safety of his house sale and thought: he is indeed superior, since no one can harm him and he is always above all things. I want to be the sun.
When he achieved his purpose, he was unlucky that a cloud got in his way and hindered his vision and he thought that the cloud was totally powerful and that's how he would really like to be.
So, he became a cloud, but when he saw how the wind dragged him with its force, the disappointment was unbearable. So he decided that he wanted to be wind. When it was the wind, he noticed that even though it was blowing very hard on a rock, it did not move and he thought: She is really strong: I want to be a rock. When he became a rock, he felt invincible because he believed that there was nothing stronger than him in the whole universe.
But what was his surprise when he saw that a stone cutter appeared and began to give the rock the shape that he wanted in spite of his contrary will. This made him reflect and led him to think that, in short, his initial condition was not so bad and that he wanted again to be the stone cutter that he was in the beginning.
We are always trying to change the course of our own life, trying to be someone we are not really, we look everywhere, trying to implement changes that make us see differently, but in the end we always come to the same conclusion, the course of our life is perfect the way we are living it and building it, it is simply to keep fighting day by day to keep improving the course we want, it is not about changing what we already are, but we can improve what we have and it is part of our lives.
Steem On.
