So I've been up putting some of my stuff for sale online on eBay and a couple of interest group forums.. It's been an interesting journey as it's not easy for a collector to sell stuffs, I mostly prefer to hoard but these days I'm implementing a minimalist philosophy. So less is more and that means selling and giving away some of the things I don't really use anymore. As they say, one man's trash is another man's treasure so I hope someone else will love what I used to.
Anyways I put up a few of my proof silver coins I bought back in 2012, 2013 and 2014. These are some of the ones I've put up for sale.
So some background for those of you who do not know what these are, they are proof coins made with pure 999 #silver or 9999 #gold and usually in limited numbers by an accredited mint. In this case it is The Perth Mint. Living in Aussie, it's nice to be able to just walk into an operating mint and buy coins such as these haha..
So the ones I have up here to show you are the Emperor penguin from the Antarctica series, a historical commemorative coin tribute to actress Marilyn Monroe and the commemorative coin remembering the friendship between Australia and China... Now that's a topic for another day 😂😂😂
