So Covid has rocked the world and we are all learning to live with a new set of rules and regulations. But we are still constantly clinging to the past imagining what life was like and also refusing to accept the new normal.
So one thing from pre-covid days that I like and enjoy is the street food, night markets that we used to attend. There was this sense of adventure as you navigate and walk around exploring the various stalls, trying to find a good deal and getting a bargain.
The best parts of such an experience is of course the food and entertainment.
We explored and found this Bao buns food truck and chose to go for a Soft Shell Crab Bao bun - picture of it below. It cost $7, just this measly little thing. But taste wise it was pretty good. Hot and crunchy for the soft shell crabs and soft and fluffy for the bao buns.
We also had a Soul Plate, reflecting the soul food of the Midwest in America. It had Mac&Cheese, Southern Friend Chicken, Beans and Corned bread.. at this point we waited like 30mins for the food so without even taking a picture, poof.. gone in a flash..
R.I.P. Soul Plate..
Then on to dessert, we decided to try the Eton Mess interpretation of the Nutty Donut shop - picture below.
It was such a sugary treat, but man, we were BLOATED after finishing that.
So that's my Diary entry today - in my search for a #betterlife.
Cheers!!
