Well, I had my Where on Sunday a few days ago and now I'm here with Where on Wednesdays. The man that said he won't do challenges proved himself to be a liar... I don't know if this type of posts are really a challenge but, I am posting pics from my gallery once in a while, of all sort of my life's episodes, so why not...
Today I'm talking a bit about Serbia. We're neighbors, and for a few years since they applied for being accepted in the EU, we no longer need passports to get to them, and they no longer need visas, so we started socialize more than we did before.
The pics below are from one of the many trips there, towards the small Serbian town called Kladovo. It's pretty much as big as my home town, but it looks hell of a lot better and although they're not in the EU, you feel more like Western Europe there than in here. Clean, chic and inviting.
We don't get there too often just for the sake of having a walk in their park, or to go to the beach, or why not, buy something that we don't have in here, usually they having lots of things cheaper than we do. We actually get there for food, restaurant food. I love the Serbian cuisine, I like their downtown restaurants and the vibe and definitely their prices.
For what we usually eat there we would pay in Romania about $20, and that's not cheap for our living standards, while you can get something similar, and even tastier at almost half the price. What do I usually eat there? Well, the pizza you will see in the last pics, which is their own masterpiece, and it's huge. Trust me, the camera lies... it's way bigger.
Then I also eat quite often Pleskavita, which is, I would say their own hamburger. I never ate an American hamburger but this thing simply rocks and I'm no longer having a dry mouth right now writing about it. I also love their peppers filled with cream cheese, and their soups as well.
I don't have pics with all these because I don't usually photograph my food, but believe me that all you get there is absolutely tasty, and I will take some pics once we can get there again, after the lock down ends. Their beer is also very good but, I'm no beer fan, so I can't talk too much about it but, I can talk baklava though.
Baklava is a highly sweet dessert with walnuts, cherries and poppies that can become highly addictive. I guess it was invented in Turkey but, I'm not sure. I do know 100% that it is the best I have ever eaten and I would eat it at any time of the day, period. Again, can't wait to make them a visit soon just for that sweet baklava.
They speak our language fortunately, they have menus in their language, Romanian and English, so it's very easy to know what you'll like to order and order it even in your native language. Women are also very beautiful but, haven't tasted any of them yet. This is it for my Where on Wednesday post. Back to reality and cook my own food which today is peas with sausages.
Thanks for attention,
Adrian
