▶ Abstract
Today I will talk about which plant species provide more carbohydrates to our daily diet, when I mention the term carbohydrates I refer especially to sugars of vegetable origin, i.e. the substances produced by plants through photosynthesis, and that play an important energy function in our food metabolism.
▶ As you may have already heard, sugars present in plants are an important part of our daily diet, not only because they represent the main source of energy, but also because they are necessary for the correct metabolic functioning of the body and the entire neurological system.

▶ Fruits and vegetables are the main sources of sugars of vegetable origin, some plants contain carbohydrates to a greater or lesser extent than others, among the plants rich in carbohydrates are; Bananas, Grapes, Pineapple, Pear, Mango, Plum, Spinach, Carrot, Artichoke, Zucchini, Broccoli, Chard among others, it is important to mention that the sugar contained in vegetable species has similar functions to soluble fiber.
