Five healthy refreshments to enjoy on the terraces this summer

Summer is coming and, with the year we've had, we don't want to miss the opportunity to enjoy it as much as we can. This does not mean that we cannot take care of our food and health at the same time, nor that we have to give up the terraces or meet friends. Therefore, I bring you five healthy drinks and refreshments that we can enjoy these hot days.

Sugar-free lemonade

Lemonade is one of the best drinks we can have on a terrace. The problem is that, usually, they are made with sugar -when we are not served the already made ones-. Therefore, we can ask them to make them without sugar. If they have mint and they add it to us, we will have everything.

Water with gas, cucumber and lime

Sparkling water is not widespread in our country, but it can be a great option as a healthy refreshment. If we don't like it on its own, we can ask for lime juice and some cucumber slices to be added. With a good amount of ice, it is a very refreshing and healthy drink.

Iced Tea

By iced tea, we do not mean those that are already sold with large amounts of sugars but those that we make with normal tea. In this case, we can make it ourselves or have it made for us. We will only need a tea bag, hot sugar, and a good amount of ice. And that's it, a delicious iced tea.

Lemon Granita

If we're lucky, we might find a terrace where they make slushies. Ask for a lemon one, which contains nothing but lemon juice, grated skin, ice and, if it is very bitter, a little bit of sweetener, will be a great option.

Sugar-free smoothies

And if we're already allowed to order smoothies, what more can we ask for? However, as in all other cases, it is important that we make sure that they are made on the spot (if it is with fresh fruit, better) and that no sugar is added.
