For many years my country Venezuela has had economic crises and has suffered from many changes (most of them are very bad changes) and right now added to all that we are also facing the Covid-19 pandemic, this has impacted in a more negative way Still, since many products have risen in value taking advantage of this situation as well as the value of the dollar has risen in a very extravagant way and let's not forget the fact that in this quarantine season we have had to be locked up for more than 50 days At home, many people without being able to work, some have been fired from their jobs, and last but not least when you go shopping, there are a huge number of people on the street queuing at all the establishments that are open.
Here I will show you what I buy with 10 dollars, the currency of my country is the Bolívar but here most people pay in foreign currency, I do not have cash dollars I only manage electronic dollars so I exchange them for the local currency and with that I buy so it is an estimate of what I bought with $ 10.
I went to the supermarket that is in front of my house, the queue to enter was huge, I went to the parking lot of that mall, people were practically on top of each other and I lasted approximately 2 hours in line before I managed to enter the supermarket.
Vista desde el lugar donde estaba / View from where I was.
Here I was a little closer to the entrance, after that batch of people I was able to enter, to obviously make another huge queue inside the supermarket to pay.
When I went in I went straight to buy what I needed and to make my tail I was too stressed to think about something else so I couldn't photograph inside there.
Well here I show you the wonderful “market” that I made with ten dollars, as we can see this is almost nothing, but the prices are here, everything is very expensive and we can only access a very limited number of products.
Solo pude comprar dos harina, las cuales se usan para hacer las riquísimas arepas venezolanas, dos paquetes de galleta y una leche en polvo de 900 gramos.
I could only buy two flour, which are used to make the delicious Venezuelan arepas, two packages of biscuits and a 900 gram milk powder.
