The quarantine times has hit us all differently and one thing for sure is that life as we know it will not be the same. It actually feels like the entire world was given a long and uncomfortable holiday to reflect and reevaluate priorities, necessities, and perceptions about life as a whole. For others, it has been a rude awakening and despite various Governments' intervention plans, a huge chunk of the World's population will come out of this situation unemployed and generally unhappy.
I've tried to make the best out of the situation by working on my school project, writing daily on my hive blog, working on certain aspects of my character, and improving my fitness amongst other things, so at the end of this virus-induced hiatus from reality, I'll have made some positive steps in my life. However, when this whole thing blows over, here are a few things I'd be looking forward to.
Get a haircut
It's been almost a month bro.
and shave too
Stuff my face with @wolfofnostreet's face
The toughest part of this ordeal is not being with the love of my life. Immediately the coast is clear and people can travel freely again, one way or the other, I'm going lick her whole face.
Visit my parents and family
I hope when this saga is behind us, I'll be able to visit my parents in Bayelsa. I live in Kaduna and that's like a 13hour road trip or my other option will be a 1hour flight and then a 1-hour road trip. I'd have really loved to be with them at home this period but I'm not ready to deal with the accompanying old people paranoia. I miss them though.
Go out more often
Well, I generally am an indoor person and only go out for necessities. So, technically speaking, I've been living in quarantine long before the quarantine was the "cool thing". I'll try to visit new places in my city and just appreciate my environment more.
More Cardio
More of the outdoor, more running and more air. I'm going to be spending a lot more time outside and will eventually achieve one of my tertiary goals of training with the local football team in this area. I watch their training every now and then, and I know for sure that I can't keep up with those guys at my current physical condition.
Life as we know it will never be the same again. Many of us will experience wholesale changes in our lives and the damage that's been done will take some time to correct. Oh well, let's hope it doesn't take too long.
