In this post I want to imagine that I just joined this blockchain.
Let's suppose that I already learned how to format posts and how to write posts.
So, in your opinion, what's the next thing I will do ?
Of course I will look at the trending page and think about why people are so much rewarded every single day while their posts are just like mine but they are not even celebrities in the world. I will think about how to do like them. So, I will start to create long posts with a lot of pictures thinking that the right thing to do. Then I'll see that's not helping me anyway. I will start being active commenting everywhere and asking questions in the web. I may find unsatisfied people like me and understand the reason why I wasn't that supported. So, I may look for something else to do in my life.
I think a lot of newcomers who joined, they are still lost. They don't understand what they have to do to be noticed. When I joined steem, I was supported very well because I started to create videos and whales supported me. I was very active commenting and promoting the platform. Also the competition wawsn't that big and it was easy to be noticed. That was about 3 years ago.
My problem now is that I choosed to be independent. I don't like to worship anyone and I don't have time to be that active. Also, I'm not a part of any project , I mean I'm not from the team. So, only sometimes when I'm lucky I got very good support to be in the hot page. The trending page for me is a taboo.
So, what we should do as a community, especially when we see some people earning less than $1 from their hard work. Of course we should support them and that's even good for the curation rewards. You will get the most curation rewards and you will just keep them here. With time they will find more people like you who support them and they will be happy. That's why I try to support those who are earning less than $1 with @tipu and @dcooperation and my main account. That's why I check every single day the new page. I see how some are trying and getting no support.
I hope every single one will do like me and we will have here more fair distribution. That's really possible to do. For example in @dtube I'm a kind of whale and I can put anyone in the trending page just by %5 upvote. That's why I don't upvote those who already have 1k DTC or more to make others visible.
When I curate I don't think that much about the curation rewards, but about seeing as much people as possible getting what they deserve. After all I'm a simple minnow and I don't know why some whales still upvote the same people again and again. I think they shoud curate randomly. That will create a positive feedback and even the price of the coin may grow more.
Let's help each other and create a healthy ecosystem. ☺

I agree whole heartedly with you about new members. It's really hard for anyone, even if you've been around for awhile, to understand how things work and get into a grove. The working together is the hardest part and is one of the major failings of steem in the past. It will take lots of work to bring a community together and support everyone. But if we that it, it will grow.

I think the problem is with the consept, but not with people. People always do everything to support only their friends or others they benifit from. The proof of stake is not good for a social media. Even the fact that the curation reward is better if you curate those who will earn more is affecting this blockchain a lot. ( When I say this I mean both chains ). We need a hardfork that will change things, but if that's not profitable for big players, everything will stay the same. We will have just to accept what's going on. When you are not a whale, it's hard to change things. That's why I'm building @dcooperation to at least have some voice in all this.
