Hello Friends, hope you all are well and enjoying your time.
The fishermen know that the sea is dangerous and the storm terrible, but they have never found these dangers sufficient reason for remaining ashore.

Fishing is a difficult and risky job. This is one of the most primitive professions. Although it is one of the most important professions, it is still practiced by the lower classes people of society. People involved in this profession usually live together. They have their own customs and manners. This class of people is what we usually call fishermen.
The fresh fish we see in the market every morning are the contribution of these fishermen. This class of people usually live a very poor life. A fisherman does not get half of the price at which we buy a fish from the market. The middlemen take all the profits. Due to this the poverty of the fishermen is not removed. They have become accustomed to such a way of life.
All my travels are currently stopped due to coronavirus pandemic. These fishing pictures I captured during my last trip to the southern part of the country. If you want to go to South Bengal, you have to cross a big river. The name of the river is Padma. Although a bridge is being built over this river, it will take time to complete.
I was crossing the Padma river by ferry. As I was crossing the river, the sun was setting in the western sky. The time was actually in the middle of light and darkness in the river. Fishermen were fishing in the river in this wonderful beauty of nature.
Padma river is very famous for hilsa fish. Although I could not understand from a distance what they were fishing, my idea was to catch Hilsha fish. I was trying to capture this wonderful scene on my camera. The pictures given here were taken at that time of the day.
Although the fishermen are very poor, they do not have much regrets about this life. Their lives are like below quoted lines-
A poor fisherman who knows the beauties of the misty mornings is much richer than a wealthy man who sleeps till noon in his palace!
Mehmet Murat ildan
I crossed the river with some good memories. This memory will stay in my mind for quite some time. On the other side of the river I found number of fishing boats were anchored. Those were waiting to go for fishing.
I have used my iPhone 11 Pro Max mobile phone to capture above pictures.
Thanks.
Stay safe and healthy.
