Hello Friends,
When I am writing this, I am on the way to the busy city, far away from my root. I always believe my root is my village where I born. My village is my origin, my existence and my destiny. I have been living a colourful life in urban flats where the high rise buildings are about to touch the sky. Although I have all the life leading facilities here, sometimes more than the requirement, but it cannot touch my heart; the way my village draws me. The cool natural breeze than the central air conditioner, the birds singing in place of monotonous and harsh sounds of vehicles, the affectionate faces of my late grandma, all these pulls me towards my origin where I passed my golden time, my adolescence! All these words might sound unrealistic, this is the feeling of my soul which I strongly believe about my native village.
After many months I went to my village. This year the flood situation is worse than the last few years. Flood water was everywhere. Our area is much safer than other areas as there is a dam to protect my village. There is a reason behind to describe the current flood situation. During my childhood, this flood was a quite captivating for us. We were eagerly waiting for the flood and praying the water labels to go above the danger label. If flood water rises, the roads will go under water and my father would buy a boat. That was the only reason of praying. Besides sailing the boat, we used to play football in the floodwaters. Those were few excellent moments of my life which my kids could never imagine even. However, this time while travelling my village I toured several areas around and took some pictures. These are mostly about nature, I am sharing them with you.
Several vegetables are produced in the village at this time of the year. A vegetable called Dhundal is one of them. Dhundal plant has very beautiful yellow flowers besides the vegetables. Some bees were collecting honey from that flower. Sharing few pictures.
The place where I took these pictures is quite a distance from my house. The most interesting thing about the village is that even though it is a little distance away, everyone knows each other. When the owner of the house saw that I was a little attracted to the vegetables, he offered me to take some. Such scenes are seen only in villages.
I happily accepted the vegetables and kept thinking to myself where we really are and where we should be. Where the people of the city do not know the people of the flat next to him and in village it is totally opposite.
Even then we have to stay in the city for our children's education, jobs and livelihood in order to survive in the pursuit of life. That is the reality and we have to accept it. But whenever my mind wants, I will go to the small village where all my childhood and adolescence memories are kept.
Thanks.
Stay safe and healthy.
Life is beautiful in the village. Nice photos as well. :)
