Hello friends, Hope you all are enjoying your time.
Today is World Health Day. Every year on 7th April this day is celebrated to make the awareness on different health issues. It is being celebrated since 1950 all over the world. This year the slogan of World Health Day is ‘ Support Nurses And Midwives’.
The entire world is experiencing its highest crisis after the Second World War due to coronavirus pandemic. The deadly coronavirus is spreading new regions everyday. At present, more than 220 countries are affected with this fatal virus. In this crisis situation, WHO has selected the right topic to celebrate the World Health Day.
Our nurses and midwives always work in forefront. In this coronavirus pandemic situation, the are taking their life risk to support the COVID19 patients. Hundreds of nurses are dying who were affected by the patients during treatment. This is a sacrifice for us to operate their novel duties. I was going through BBC news where mentioned about the sad stories of nurses.
News of her death emerged as health bosses in the West Midlands announced that another nurse with coronavirus had died.
Areema Nasreen, 36, had spent weeks in intensive care at Walsall Manor Hospital, where she worked in the acute medical unit.
During the government's daily coronavirus briefing, the Chief Nursing Officer for England Ruth May paid tribute to both women. Ms May revealed she was also concerned more nurses would die, as she said: "They were one of my profession, of the NHS family. I worry that there's going to be more and I want to honour them today and recognise their service."
The WHO has declared this year the ‘International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife’. Our midwives are also doing the hard work. They are supporting the new born babies and the pregnant women in this hard time. Still in some rural areas the doctor and hospital facilities are not available. There the midwives are only hope for the pregnant women.
We should not forget the dedication and devotion of our doctors. After the almighty, they are the person who can help us to come out from this situation. They are trying their best also. When we all are maintaining the self-isolation, the doctors are going to the hospitals and doing treatment of COVID 19 patients.
Each government should come up with the plan to support the health workers. Our government has already taken the initiative to support doctors and nurses. Today our prime minister has declared to award the doctors, nurses and other health workers who are working in this critical time to support the countrymen.
Last but not the least, in this coronavirus pandemic where the death toll reached to 74820 and the confirmed cases are 1,349,904, we should support all our doctors and nurses mentally. The are the battle field army for us to win against the coronavirus.
