"Defeat is not the worst of failures. Not to have tried is the true failure."- George Edward Woodberry.
The thought of being defeated in battle is what usually sends many supposed champions to the dust.
The worry about being defeated makes them not even get into the ring to try what they can.
"Try and see" is a good quote because, if you don't try a thing, you will not be able to tell what the result will be.
Failure is not the absence of courage but the presence of a state of panic and uncertainty in oneself that allows the mindset to see no win.
The ability of the man who wants to fight and win to understand that he has to first fight before the outcome can be determined is the first step to not being defeated.
In a boxing bout, a man can get knocked over many times by his opponent and if he continues to fight in, he will just be able to get an edge over him.
The number of pinches matter but what matters more is the ability to make the right connections and earn the point.
See your battles as a trial period that needs to be taken head-on.
Results cannot be produced before a match. Everyone can go on and make their predictions but it is the outcome at the end of that match that will win the day.
Do the run away from a situation because it looks scary and may be hard.
You may have what it takes to win but can only know when you step in and take a swing at the problem...
