A couple of days ago, I had the pleasure of making Sushi for the first time ever! Actually, it was also my first time to have sushi that I actually could not have enough of. I never really used to understand how people could crave for raw fish, but now, I completely do.
Oh, the yummy fresh goodness!
It was really not that hard to make, and if you ask me, I'd definitely prefer home made Sushi to restaurant Sushi, or at least for now until I find a joint that serves it as fresh I had them.
On my previous birthday post, I shared with you guys my birthday recipe book from Madrid which has this amazing recipe. It is by far one of my fave things because I love food, and I enjoy to share how I make it...
SO, Her you go...
THE RECIPE
THE RESULT
Very minimal work for all the yummiest sushi ever. It is a very messy process, mostly because the rice is sticky and hard to get of surfaces and your hands, but once done, you'll be glad you jumped right in to it.
The best part about doing at home is, you can also experiment with your food and do a variation of your preferences.I strongly believe in food experiments, that how to discover your pallets and your preferences for future reference.
I don't mind the black sushi above, but the ones below is my fave. Just a big ball of rice with some fresh salmon on top and some sauce. I could never have enough of these.
We enjoyed this over a glass of red wine and called a great dinner. I am looking forward to more sushi nights. I also can't wait for Madrid to be open so I can go out and explore different Sushi places. Who knows, I may spot better ones, but if not, making it at home will not be a problem for me.
By the show of hands, how many of you LOOOOOVVVEE Sushi? :D
If you prefer, you can also watch this mini vlog of me doing it that I shared a couple of days ago.
SEE YOU ON THE NEXT POST!!

wow nice, you can make sushi at home. I like sushi too but I never make it myself. I just buy them at the supermarket here.
