Hello Hivians. I hooe you're all having a wonderful day.
To start off my day, i began by making this pen drawing of an African woman of the Yoruba tribe. I've had the honor of being around the Yoruba people and i must say their life style is fascinating. From their food, music, dressing, folklores/stories, proverbs, culture and to their tradition.
I'm gonna be describing the dressing of a typical Yoruba woman so when you get a chance to meet one, you'd know them.
They believe in dressing modestly and decently, so their attire comprises of a head wear called the Gele, A blouse called Buba and a wapper to be tied around the waist called the Iro. The head wear is made of thick clothing that would take the form of however they want it to be tied. The colour of tge head tie and wrapper must also match for a more appealing look. They also love to hang a long piece of clothing which is of the same material as the wrapper and head tie on their shoulders as seen in the drawing.
Finally, they love jewelries and adorn themselves with it in a decent way.

I used a black ball point pen and oekican paper for this drawing.
Here are the steps involved;
First, I drew the outline of the woman and her attire and added her facial features.

Next, I shaded and added tones to her face.

Finally, I shaded and added details to her attire until I got a satisfactory result.

This drawing was done as part of my imaginative drawing exercise.
Thank you for reading and viewing my drawing. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your day.
