Sri Lanka faced the Corona challenge in a fair or very good way.That’s in the last few months. But with the re-emergence of a bunch of corona patients, Sri Lanka is in a very difficult situation.
Nearly 1,400 covid 19 infections have been identified from the covid cluster associated with the Minuwangoda Garment Factory.
That was with the identification of 90 new infections yesterday (12). The Government Information Department stated that 39 cases were reported in two cases yesterday and 51 cases were reported yesterday, bringing the total number of cases reported from the covid cluster to 1,397.
Meanwhile, the total number of Covid-19 infected in Sri Lanka has risen to 4,844 with the identification of two Turkish flight attendants as covid-19 infected.
Accordingly, 1,514 patients are currently being treated at hospitals under full medical supervision, the Ministry of Health said.
However, 3,317 of the total infected have been fully recovered and discharged from hospitals.
