¿Melodía pegajosa o simple melodía? / ¿Sticky tune or simple tune?

Hola queridos amigos de la comunidad, espero estén muy bien, disfrutando como siempre les digo todo el tiempo libre que tenemos justo ahora.

Hoy quiero hablarles un poco desde mi punto de vista (como siempre) de las melodías pegajosas actuales y de las melodías que aunque no son tan pegajosas de algún u otro modo se nos quedan en nuestra mente y la tarareamos durante un buen rato.

No sé si se han dado cuenta que la música actual es bastante pegajosa, y quizás la gran pregunta sea ¿por qué?.

Actualmente existen muchos compositores de canciones que siéndoles sincero utilizan más este recursos en temas de pop y reggaeton donde pareciera que los compositores no saben absolutamente nada de música. Sus canciones y sus desenlaces ocurren en sólo 3 acordes, los principales de la tonalidad.

A raíz de esto nace otra pregunta y es ¿los músicos actuales acaso no saben nada de música? Así que hoy les voy a responder esas dudas con mi punto de vista y que luego de todo ello, quisiera saber el tuyo.

Empiezo por la primera:

¿Por qué son tan pegajosas?

Simple.

Si, simple, ahí está la respuesta jajaja por lo simple! Los compositores actuales, sobretodo los más comerciales, hacen música con formas sencillas de componer haciendo que sea tan fácil de captar la melodia, el ritmo, y los diferentes cambios de la canción. Es decir que justo ahora en la música comercial lo más sencillo es lo que más pega en el mercado, todo porque es muy fácil de recordar.

Todo esto lo hacen porque un esquema sencillo de acordes (3 acordes, básicamente) es mucho más fácil de recordar que un esquema de acordes compuestos que son los más complejos y pesados auditivamente. Lo mismo pasa con la melodía, mientras menos notas tenga y menos rango de distancia es mucho más fácil de recordar y así es cómo poco a poco empezamos tomarle gusto.

Ahora, la siguiente pregunta: ¿Los compositores comerciales saben de música?

La respuesta a ello es si, saben bastante de música. Hay casos en los que cómo en cualquier género algún compositor no sepa nada de música y aún así se adentre al mundo de la composición, es algo más común de lo que creemos. Estos compositores no tienen una necesidad de demostrar todo el dominio de la armonía usando muchos recursos ya que lo que buscan es simplemente que su música suene y llegue a todas las personas que las escuchamos, y es por ello que es común el uso de los 3 acordes de la tonalidad en la que componen, sin ningún uso de modulación excesiva (mayormente si la llegan a usar es a otra tonalidad para luego volver a la tonalidad inicial), ritmo pegajoso, letra actualizada que hable y mencione detalles que hagan sentir identificado a quien escucha. Siempre usando todos estos patrones.

Para concluir quería recordarles que todo tipo de género es música, nos guste o no nos guste.

A mi en lo particular no me gusta escuchar reggaeton en mi celular, la única forma de escucharlo es que alguien lo ponga o estemos en una fiesta. Del resto no es mi género favorito, pero, sigue siendo música. Una música actual cómo muchas más que vendrán apareciendo en el pasar de los años y que tendrán los que la amen y sus retractores, cómo en todo.

Así que espero que les haya gustado esta información que quise compartir hoy, un poco diferente a lo que ya venía haciendo buscando también traer un tema más actual pero también bastante curioso para poder entender por qué existen canciones auditivamente sencillas pero que llegan a ser tan famosas...

Currently there are many songwriters who, to be honest, use this resource more in pop and reggaeton songs where it seems that the composers know absolutely nothing about music. Their songs and their outcomes occur in only 3 chords, the main ones of the key.

As a result of this, another question arises, and is it that today's musicians do not know anything about music? So today I am going to answer those questions with my point of view and that after all this, I would like to know yours.

I start with the first:

Why are they so sticky?

Simple.

Yes, simple, there is the answer hahaha for the simple! Today's composers, especially the more commercial ones, make music with simple ways of composing making it so easy to capture the melody, the rhythm, and the different changes of the song. In other words, right now in commercial music, the simplest is the most popular on the market, all because it is very easy to remember.

They do all of this because a simple chord scheme (3 chords, basically) is much easier to remember than a compound chord scheme that is the most complex and auditory heavy. The same thing happens with the melody, the less notes it has and the less distance range it is much easier to remember and this is how little by little we start to like it.

Now, the next question: Do commercial composers know about music?

The answer to that is yes, they know a lot about music. There are cases in which how in any genre a composer does not know anything about music and still enters the world of composition, it is somewhat more common than we think. These composers do not have a need to demonstrate all the mastery of harmony using many resources since what they are looking for is simply that their music plays and reaches all the people who listen to them, and that is why it is common to use the 3 chords of the key in which they compose, without any use of excessive modulation (mostly if they get to use it is to another key and then return to the initial key), catchy rhythm, updated lyrics that speak and mention details that make you feel identified. who listens. Always using all these patterns.

To conclude, I wanted to remind you that all kinds of genres are music, whether we like it or not.

I in particular do not like listening to reggaeton on my cell phone, the only way to hear it is for someone to play it or we are at a party. Of the rest it is not my favorite genre, but, it is still music.
