Things have changed, previously shaking someone's hand as a sign of greeting was the norm, and even hugging or kissing on the cheek, but, things have changed. With this new reality it is evident that we cannot continue with the same social patterns we had before.
No se trata de sentir miedo permanentemente, sino que es evidente que la pandemia, que este año parecía estar por terminar, se ha hecho mucho más presente, sobre todo en países como India, por mutaciones del virus original, que han puesto, tristemente, a ese país en una situación muy difícil en términos sanitarios y económicos.

So yes, things have changed, and they don't seem to be going back to the reality we knew before this pandemic was declared as such. We can never again have that same sense of security we once felt. It is likely that confidence in science now more than ever is affected, because we cannot explain how, after so many advances, what is happening now could have happened, and that in terms of spread we are now worse off than we were last year.
