Greetings to the entire community.
In this cover I went from an aggressive punk rock to a song with a bit of joy.
#stayhome.
This song takes me back to my teens when I was riding my skateboard every day.
It made me feel like a pro-skater.
But it really wasn't.
"Dammit (Growing Up)" is a single by the Californian band Blink-182, taken from their album Dude Ranch. The song was the album's second promotional single and was released on September 23, 1997 by MCA Records and Cargo Music. An alternate version also appeared on the soundtrack for the movie Can't Hardly Wait and in the band's Greatest Hits.
The single became the first international hit and garnered great results on the US charts, ranking eleventh on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. Despite the fact that later the band achieved greater successes with more commercial songs, "Dammit" has been considered, by fans and the band itself, as one of the most important songs of Blink-182's career, being played at the end of each concert as a final climax on the Pop Disaster Tour and on the Californian group's only live album, The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show: The Enema Strikes Back.

Blink-182
It's alright to tell me what you think about me
I won't try to argue or hold it against you
I know that you're leaving, you must have your reasons
The season is calling, your pictures are falling down
The steps that I retrace, the sad look on your face
The timing and structure did you hear he fucked her?
A day late a buck short I'm writing the report
On losing and failing when I move I'm flailing now
And it's happened once again
I'll turn to a friend
Someone that understands
Sees through the master plan
But everybody's gone
And I've been here for too long
To face this on my own, well I guess this is growing up
Well I guess this is growing up
And maybe I'll see you at a movie sneak preview
You'll show up and walk by on the arm of that guy
And I'll smile and you'll wave, we'll pretend it's okay
The charade, it won't last, when he's gone I won't come back
And it'll happen once again
You'll turn to a friend
Someone that understands
And sees through the master plan
But everybody's gone
And you've been there for too long
To face this on your own, well I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up
And remember, stay home and together we will win.
