Good day to all!
I hope you are all healthy. During quarantine self-isolation, I found a new hobby - new recipes. It's fun! I have editions of cookbooks from yesteryear. I would call some of them vintage editions, since cookbooks are 30-50 years old. I decided to check out some recipes and cook them. These are recipes for various pastries: bread, rolls, biscuits. and cupcakes. I will share some recipes with you.
So I became a food photographer. I do not know that for me was better to be a chef or photographer.
So, homemade cookies.
Recipe from the book "Culinary Recipes" published in 1968.🤨This is a book of my mother-in-law, I don’t know if she ever cooked according to these recipes. I get the impression that these books were bought just for the collection.
So, the recipe "Cookies from rye flour."
It's good that I took the ingredients half as much as in the recipe.😃
Fine rye flour - 1 cup (in recipe 2)
Sugar - 1.5 tablespoons (in recipe 3)
Egg -1 (in recipe 2)
Sour cream - 1 tablespoon (2)
Baking soda - (I took less) in the recipe 1/2 teaspoon
From the cookbook: Further in the instructions step by step it is written:
Beat eggs, add sugar and knead with a wooden spoon (!).
I didn’t do it very well. I did not even shoot this process. It was further written that it was necessary to gradually pour the melted butter. Oops! And in the recipe nothing about the oil and its amount is not indicated. I read the recipe several times! It was fun. I had to add it at my own discretion. Next, I had to do everything non-prescription. Poor housewives who in the distant 1968 faced such a difficulty.
I baked cookies! Of course, the experiment was not entirely successful. I added some candied fruit 😀
Oops! Today, some recipes on culinary sites have incidents.
Have a good experiment!
